We are already onto season 2 now, halfway through and soon going to be finishing this book and pretty much the series once and for all.

"Couldn't handle the med bay environment anymore?" Heatwave asks, noticing how Ratchet enters the room with everyone else. "Also, really with the new look?"

"Those days are behind me, Heatwave, and that includes the frame and paint job." Ratchet says, hoping that all of that is going to remain behind him now as peace has fully settled. "I am very excited to see how running this place has been though."

"The mentor idea surely has thrown some of our plans off but we have managed well with what last year's classes had to offer." Chase mentions, somewhat fixing some of the things he had in store.

"Yeah but it is kind of funny Whirl just so happened to get you." Boulder says, finding it to be a little bit of fun. "It is like the saying 'Father like Daughter' that the humans have, but definitely different."

"Ok, but can we please talk about the fact that Medix calls you uncle?" Blades says. "How many bots are you related to?"

"Oh no, his creators are actually very good friends of mine to the point they just consider me family to them." Ratchet says, stating these facts to prevent further confusion for his one child. "But even with that, this is certainly a step down for work."

"step down? I thought that would be retirement." Heatwave says.

"Optimus and I are seriously not that old, I can still function pretty well and I swear Optimus will bust something here soon if he does something stupid enough." Ratchet tells, knowing he hasn't considered that option yet. "We could retire if we wanted but I don't think we are there yet."

"Wow, already with the relationship goals." Heatwave says with such sarcasm. "I still don't see it."

"I still haven't been able to see it and yet you told me a couple months ago." Blades says, still finding the whole thing to be weird somehow. "I can see some clear changes though."

"And those changes will probably break you mentally." Chase says, not even looking up from what he was doing.

"That sounds about right." Boulder mutters, confused on where this plans to go.

"Well, I'm going to go, have work to fill out." Heatwave says, having a sense that Optimus was going to enter and surely enough, it is now officially awkward being in the same room with them both together. "And I mean my office, Blades."

"I know." Blades had assumed one time Heatwave meant something otherwise, and will now forever give context just to make the helicopter embarrassed.

"What-"

"Well, I need to go finish up a project I am working on." Boulder made his que to leave.

"I need to work on some lesson plans before Heatwave comes after me for it, again." Blades then also leaves the room.

Chase remained there in the room while Ratchet stood there absolutely stunned, and he never had been so confused in those quick moments as everyone went back to what they were doing before.
