Cleaning up the ocean wasn't the first time the recruits were on the water.
____________________________________________________________________________________________The recruits were all crying when they came back.
Whirl was bawling so bad she couldn't even explain what happened, Wedge was just full of sniffles but was clearly traumatized, Hoist looked like he was crying before and started up again when he was asked what happened, Hot Shot had tears streaming down but gave a clear face that wasn't doing much to hide it, eve Medix was crying a decent amount from what happened.
It was quite shocking to see that they were all crying, leading most of the teachers to try and comfort them. There was one teacher, who seriously needed to have a nice chat though.
"HIGHTIDE!" That was the perfect time to get the recruits inside, because there was clearly going to be something going down.
Heatwave, out of an idea, decided that maybe Hightide could teach the recruits some things about the water and any water-related rescues. It sounded good at first and was completely alright, but finding the five recruits crying certainly was not supposed to be a part of that plan.
"Heatwave, my love." The red bot was very much not impressed as he walked over, but Hightide could care less about the anger.
Heatwave could be very scary when he is angry, and yet, it never really stops Hightide from what he does. Hightide knows that both of them can be very intimidating at times, but Hightide has it more due to his height and age.
"Don't be all sappy with me right now." Heatwave sounded very upset. "I gave you one job! You were supposed to teach them, not make them cry!"
"It isn't my fault they were all as bad at learning the job as they were!" Hightide put in defense, as if he couldn't do anything about it and therefore, nothing could really fix the results.
"They are young, you have to be a bit more patient." Heatwave factors in. "Honestly, I expected better from you."
"Nothing can change what happened, Heatwave and none of it is really my fault, they may be young but they can learn what I am teaching them!" Hightide seemed a bit too confident with those words. "They can handle what I have for them."
"Yeah, no." Heatwave was not letting that happen again. "You are not teaching them, say you are sorry."
"Heatwave, you are being ridiculous." Was it a little stupid? Yes, but he made five little bots cry, there needed to be an apology.
"Don't make me give the look."
"Heatwave, I get you can be intimidating at times, but you really need to let this go." Hightide was not about to do something like that, although Heatwave does technically have more authority here, he technically does not have to do any sort of apologizing because no rules were broken.
"How is this intimidating for you?!" Hightide knew he messed up so badly when he dared to look, seeing the last thing he told himself to never actually stare at.
"Y-your contacts!" The glare, the face, the optics, it made it an experience staring directly at him. High Tide has always told himself to never look at Heatwave when this happens but now, he was getting sucked in fast.
Kade called this to be the 'Mother Glare', and honestly, even he could admit that it was very scary to see. Turning away did nothing when one was locked in, it was now all about begging for forgiveness to try and fix it.
Hightide seemed to realize that he was now just on the ground, his entire frame tense as he felt like he was being looked down upon. This had to be more frightening than his own creators, but there was an easy way to solve this.
"I'm sorry." He said it, now he felt like seconds were too slow, he was shaking so bad that he needed the stare to be over.
"Ok." Heatwave sighed, trying to get it so his contacts go back in but finds himself having problems.
". . . . . . Heatwave?" Hightide wasn't fully sure if it was over, but he at least wanted to figure out if Heatwave was alright.
"I can't see!" Heatwave put them in, but not right, leaving him very much unable to see. Hightide got up fast to at least try and help him in some way since he doesn't deal with this.
In the distance, Blades Boulder and Chase were quiet as they watched, as if what they were witnessing was maybe a little bit of a shock.
