35: Hide And Go Seek - S

The recruits and the teachers play some intense hide and go seek in the academy.

The task was fairly easy, teachers against the students, playing hide and go seek. A recruit would be nominated to find the teachers and a teacher would be nominated to find the students while the rest hid anywhere they wished to in the building (just staying away from explosives, electronics, the dangerous stuff).

The recruits were quite smart when they picked Grimlock to come and find them, meaning they could not be found as easily due to the Dino Bot's size. All the teachers decided to pick Hoist to find them, then all making a bet to see who would not get caught since technology aids were allowed.

limits were only to the academy, as the building was very large and certainly held many hiding spots. no one was allowed to hide outside or it was an automatic win for the other team and it was suggested to not hide in the same spot with another bot.

The start was well on its way as such little time was given to hide, leading to the academy sound like it was deserted. Sigma 17 was sure to keep in touch with one another, silently speaking to one another on their com-tabs while they all remained hidden.

"So, where did you guys end up hiding?" Blades asks, clearly curious as he has nothing to do now at the moment.

"isn't telling someone where you are hiding defeat the purpose of the game?" Boulder questions, making sure he is understanding this correctly.

"But we are all on the same team, wouldn't it be valid to know where everyone else is hiding so we know where to avoid if we need to move?" Chase decides to mention the sound of pedesteps echoing on his side for a brief moment.

"Either way, I am not telling you guys where I am." Heatwave then states, surely not giving up that information too easily. "It was funny seeing Hoist immediately go straight for my office though."

"How did you know he went right for your office?" Blades questions, thinking of all the possible hiding spots in which Heatwave could be hiding in.

"That is not something I plan on telling right now but Chase was just found." Heatwave responds, the commlink disconnecting from Chase as he was spotted.

"That is pretty ironic despite the fact he is a literal cop." Boulder says. "Wait, if you spotted that happening, how are you not found?!"

"See, we technically know this place better than Heatwave and yet he wasn't even the first one caught!" Blades practically complains. "Hey, I wonder if Grimlock-"

"Hello Professor Blades."

Blades' comm unit disconnects, the sudden moment of Hoist's voice just happening to be what ruined the question being asked and Blades' screams echoing in the halls. There was a moment of silence between the two bots, then they continued.

"Do you think Grimlock found more of the recruits than Hoist has found us?" Boulder questions as he finds himself debating to move his hiding spot.

"Nope, Grimlock only found Whirl at the moment." Heatwave responds. "Such irony in the air tonight."

"It's like saying 'mother like daughter', right?" Boulder asks himself. "Yeah, without them being related though."

"They are still family." Heatwave says. "Oh my goodness me, Hoist is getting close to your hiding spot."

"How do you know where I'm hiding?!" and in that moment, Boulder knew he was gone, speaking loud enough that Hoist was at full attention and then found the bot. "I know we are on the same team, but shame on you!"

Boulder disconnects, Heatwave officially on his own now for their team. The game continues as the remaining recruits are slowly found, but Hoist cannot seem to physically find Heatwave while that happens.

After finding the last recruit (that being Medix, who stuffed himself into a box and was physically stuck for a good while in it as everyone tried to get him out), Hoist is at a complete loss. Surely enough, he has been really trying to catch Heatwave, but he never has spotted the bot once.

"Heatwave, you won." Blades says, still defeated that he was caught so easily awhile back.

"Up here." Heatwave was directly above them, on the ceiling he was stuck and he jumped down to greet the group with his found presence. "What?"

"Where were you this entire time?!" Hot Shot asks, almost hoping he could get some good advice here for if they played again.

"I was following Hoist the entire time." Heatwave responds, which physically sounds impossible because of so many different things and yet, it was fully true. "I did get lost at one point but I need to go do some work in my office."

he left without another word, everyone physically stunned in silence.
