The recruits thought they could take it but they were so wrong.

it was something they requested themselves, not really something they were forced to do. They thought it might be interesting to tag along with their teacher's training, seeing what they do since they are more experienced and maybe even work from that too. none of them actually thought of what pure work that they put into the training because it was only a quarter into it and they all were done.
"Guys, is it just me or does the room feel heavy?!" Whirl was so exhausted, finding herself desperately needing to take a seat on the floor.
"I can barely feel my servos." Hoist practically agreed, taking a seat beside her as he finds himself physically unable to continue. " Who do you think will drop next?"
"Probably Medix, just look at him." Whirl says, watching how he looks so ready to stop. "I'm surprised he lasted this long."
Even after those words were said, Medix didn't take much longer before he too joined them on the sidelines. it was clear to tell that their training was much easier for a reason, after all, they could barely take on what it is they decided to piggy-back on.
"Something tells me those two have a bet going on to see who will last the longest." Hoist says, pretty much believing that is the only way Hot Shot and Wedge are still going.
"From my assumptions, they won't even make it halfway with how that is getting." Medix comments, watching how the two are barely holding on right now.
The three watched as the training seemed to continue, trying to join in again but found it merely impossible to keep up as it slowly got more intense. it eventually got to the halfway point when a break was actually made, one in which Hot Shot and Wedge finally were relieved.
"How are you two doing?" Whirl dares to ask, wondering how much they feel wrecked right now despite only being halfway there.
The two barely mumble out a response, both being too exhausted and weakened from what they just decided to put themselves through. they both surely put themselves through something to try and keep up with the rest but clearly they were not ready for that intense training, after all, they still had much to learn.
"Are they going back to training already?!" Whirl was floored as she watched Heatwave, Chase, Blades and Boulder all get up as they plan to continue. "What?!"
"That wasn't even five minutes!" Hoist points out, wondering how in the world they needed that little of a break and then just went back to it. "how is that even possible?!"
"I have no idea but I think we all know none of us are going to join them." Medix says, looking over to see Hot Shot still laying on the floor but Wedge finally found the strength to sit up. "I see one of them is alive."
Hot Shot eventually got up, all of them sitting silently as they watched their four teachers casually do training like it was no bother to them. They watched as it went slow, started to get intense and then to finish it off by settling it down.
The training session did finally end at some point, all the recruits sitting there almost floored by what they saw but also by the literal fact the teachers didn't seem to be one bit as dead as the rest of them were.
their teachers eventually went on their own ways for the rest of the day while the recruits made their way back to their room. the minute they all piled in and shut the door, only one thing could really be said.
"That was crazy."
