~~~Y/N POV~~~
It's been a few minutes since the so-called doctor injected us with that serum, and... honestly, I feel... fine. Weirdly fine. Nothing hurts anymore. If I weren't tied up, I might actually move.
"Honestly, I don't really feel anything. Do you guys?" Steve asked, his voice a little uncertain.
"Nope," I said, letting out a quiet giggle.
"I mean... I feel okay. Normal," she said, her voice soft, with a little laugh at the end.
"I-I feel fine," Steve repeated, trying to sound confident. "I feel... good," he added. We laughed, though it came out more nervous than anything, and stopped when Robin spoke again.
"Do you wanna know a secret?" she said, leaning forward slightly, smiling.
"What?" Steve and I asked.
"I... kind of like it," she admitted, a little laugh escaping.
"Me too," I said, quieter, just enough for her to hear. We all started laughing a bit, though it was shaky and tense, like we were letting out nervous energy more than anything else.
"Morons. They messed up the drug," Steve said, shaking his head, trying to sound serious but failing.
"I know, right? Morons," I said, a small laugh slipping out.
"They messed it up!" Robin added, trying to stifle her own laugh.
Then we all started repeating it, quietly at first, then a little louder: "Morons... Morons..."
"Whoa," I said, cutting myself off when I almost fell over in the chair.
"Yeah... there's definitely something wrong with us," Robin said, more calmly this time, which only made me laugh a little more.
A buzzer sounded, cutting through the room. The door opened, and in walked Mr. BOsSy PanTs and DOctOr Na faRio.
Mr. BOsSy PanTs stopped in front of me. I tried not to giggle, my eyes flicking to Na faRio as he pulled out some weapons. I forced a small smile.
"Is now a good time to tell you I don't like doctors?" I asked.
"Let's try this again, yes?" he said, ignoring me. We all nodded.
"Who do you work for?"
"Scoops," Steve said, blunt and straight-faced.
"Scoops Ahoy," I muttered, cracking a tiny smile even though it made no sense.
"How did you find us?" he asked, his expression serious.
"Totally by accident," Steve said, and Robin and I exchanged quiet, nervous giggles.
Mr. BOsSy PanTs muttered something in a language I didn't understand to Na faRio, who pulled out a pointy... weapon of some kind.
"What is that shiny little toy?" Steve asked, squinting. Na faRio didn't answer, he just kept coming, and the shine from his weapon made my stomach twist
Where are you going with that, Doc?" Robin butted in just as the doctor strode straight in front of Steve, reaching to lift his hand.
"Woah! Whoa! Whoa! Wait, wait, wait!" Steve yelled, backing up as the doctor grabbed his hand, fingers curling dangerously close to snapping.
"There was a code! There was a code! We heard a code!" Robin shouted, her voice sharp, panic and defiance mixing. The doctor hesitated and slowly put Steve's hand back down.
"Code? What code?" he asked, narrowing his eyes.
"The week is long. The silver cat feeds when blue meets yellow in the west," Robin said, staring him down.
