~Y/n POV~

Eddie unfolded the newspaper across the table and tapped one specific ad with his finger, a grin slowly spreading across his face.

"Check this out. The war zone, l've been there once. It's huge. They got everything you need for uh...well, killing thing's basically." Eddie pointed to an ad in the newspaper.

Robin leaned closer, squinting at the page as her expression twisted into disbelief.

"You think fake Rambo has enough guns there? Is that a grenade, I mean how is any of this legal?" Robin exclaimed.

Eddie shrugged, folding the paper slightly as he continued, clearly enjoying himself.

"We'll lucky for us it is, so...this-this place is just far enough outside of Hawkins. As long as we steer clear of the main roads, we oughta be able to avoid cops and uh, angry Hicks." Eddie explained.

Erica crossed her arms, unimpressed, and tilted her head.

"If we're trying to avoid angry hicks, maybe we shouldn't go to some store called the war zone." Erica suggested.

Nancy spoke up immediately, her voice firm, already decided.

"Normally l'd agree but we need the weapons. So I think it's worth the risk." Nancy spoke up.

Lucas let out a tired breath before nodding.

"Me too." Lucas sighed.

Dustin frowned, doing the math in his head.

"Yeah but is it worth the time? It'll take all day to bike there and back." Dustin sighed.

Eddie's smile widened as he leaned back.

"Who said anything about bikes?" Eddie questioned.

Steve raised an eyebrow, already suspicious.

"You got some sort of car we don't know about?" Steve questioned.

Eddie glanced at me, his smirk turning mischievous.

"It's not exactly a car, Steve. And it's not exactly mine, but uh... it'll do." Eddie smirked, turning to me.

He tilted his head, eyes scanning me quickly.

"Hey, red, uh, you got a ski mask or a bandanna, something like that?" Eddie asked.

It took a second, then realization hit.

"It's not exactly a ski mask. But it'll do." I say.

Next thing I knew, we were all outside, Eddie wearing Max's old Michael Myers mask, and somehow we were about to steal a car... or not exactly a car. I wasn't entirely sure what qualified as a camper at this point, but it definitely wasn't ours.

Eddie lifted a hand and gave a sharp signal, motioning for us to move.

And we did.

We sprinted toward the camper, shoes crunching softly against the gravel. We quickly slipped around to the other side, keeping low, making sure the owners didn't see us from their porch.

Eddie wasted no time. He shoved open a small window and hauled himself inside, disappearing into the dark interior.

The rest of us followed, one by one, scrambling through after him.

"That was suffocating." He muttered.

I immediately put my fingers up to my mouth, silently telling him to shut the hell up. We hadn't completed the stealing-a-car thing yet.
