It was a rainy, grey mid-November Tuesday on which I was being driven to the JTC for yet another day full of meetings on my agenda. I looked down at my outfit and was happy to have worn a pop of colour to bring some brightness into this dark and boring day ahead. When I arrived at my office, I immediately checked my schedule and saw a meeting with our PR & media team up in the morning and the weekly board meeting set for the afternoon. An eventful day, to say the least.

Half an hour later, I heard voices shouting and looked down to the pitches where the men's team was running out for their training session. I smiled when I saw Dean chatting with Cambiaso and Miretti on his way as they seemed to be in a good mood, sharing jokes and laughs. I watched the players as they seemed energetic and eager for the session to start - only then I noticed Kenan walking out last, next to Ferran Torres, our purchase from last year. Both their eyes were set on the pitch, they looked like serious and fierce, contrasting the light and jokey mood of their teammates.

I studied him attentively - Kenan, not Ferran Torres. His hair was combed more neatly, but he still had that same middle part we had gotten all those years ago together at my hairdresser. His teenage features had almost completely vanished, his jawline now way more defined. He also moved differently on the ball now, more secure and he needed less steps. His game was calm and he showed no signs of nervousness or insecurity. He knew that when he stepped onto the pitch and the ball got to his feet, he would score.

That was why we were also currently sitting at #1 in the league table, had delivered a strong start in the CL and easily had flown past third-tier teams in the Coppa Italia with him as our best goalscorer in these few months. It was soon to talk, but I had a good feeling about us winning the treble this year. And maybe also the Supercoppa in January - all of this in my first season as President, I'd be so proud. I snapped out of my daydream when my phone dinged, a notification popping up that it was time for my PR meeting.

I headed down to the conference rooms and arrived last, but still on time.
"Good morning, great to see everyone! Let's go, Michela" I said friendly as I sat down and invited our Head of Communications to start the meeting. It was mostly about a new marketing strategy launch in South America and the promotion of our youth teams, and I thought we were done as we concluded all the points on my list.

"There's still... one matter" Michela said and I looked at her, signalling to go on.
"Well... It hasn't gone completely unnoticed to some fans that... there is a group of players on the team that seems to ignore Kenan Yildiz and the reason for that has been linked to your previous relationship with him" she said, trying to avoid eye contact.
"We're talking about the Italian boys, right?" I sighed and she nodded while the others in the room followed our exchange.
