Today was Kenan's surgery and he had been accompanied to the hospital in Innsbruck by his agent and me, as well as a Creator Lab camera team, which however made sure to not include me in any shots or angles. Kenan was seemingly tense and anxious, I guess everyone going into a surgery under full anaesthesia would be. I kept my distance, and soon enough, he was taken away to the OR after some last tests, so I found myself a nice spot in the hospital cafeteria to work at, hoping that time would pass quickly.

"Um... excuse me, are you Miss Agnelli?" a nurse asked as she approached me.
"Yes, that's me!" I quickly replied, hoping for some news on Kenan.
"Mr Yildiz has just gotten out of surgery and I figured you might want to be there when he wakes up?" she asked friendly. I quickly nodded and pushed my stuff into my bag before hurrying after her. She brought me into a room next to the ORs in which they monitored their patients until they woke up from their surgeries and were fit enough again to be taken back to their rooms.

He still laid there sleeping and I smiled at the image of how peaceful he was looking. And good. He looked so good. I took a seat next to him and leaned onto the side of his bed, looking at him and waiting for him to wake up. I took his hand and softly stroked my thumb over it the whole time as I waited. After half an hour or so, his eyelids finally started fluttering until he was able to fully open them again.

"Hey" he said with a low, croaky voice and I grinned.
"Hey you" I replied. "Doctors said everything went well and I already texted your mum."
"Thanks" he whispered and squeezed my hand lightly as he shut his eyes again. He was probably still wuzzy from the anaesthesia.
"How are you feeling?" I asked.
"Just a bit sleepy, I guess they pushed all sorts of pain medications into me, so I don't really feel anything. The worst will come in Turin" he sighed and I couldn't help but pity him. The road to recovery was going to be so painful and so hard.

"I'll be there for you" I whispered and held his hand very tightly.
"I love you, Beatrice. Always have, always will. And I want to marry you. And have three kids. Minimum" he grumbled.
"Now that's the painkillers talking" I chuckled.
"Hello, Mr Yildiz, I'm glad you're awake again! How are you feeling?" a nurse interrupted us.
"Amazing" he replied sarcastically.
"Great to see you're back with us. We'll wheel you up to your room then" she said and prepped Kenan for the journey a few floors up.

As I followed her and Kenan's bed, I sent a text message to his agent and the film crew that everything had gone well and he was on his way to his room again. Kenan was not thrilled at all that the cameras were set up and rolling as he just arrived back and greeted them with a lot of swear words. I signalled them with my eyes that it would be better to leave and I did the same as I saw his agent getting into what seemed a deep conversation with him now. As I was strolling around in the corridor I saw a woman wheeling up what looked like dinner for tonight, and as the smell of it hit me, I almost threw up.

No way poor Kenan was going to eat this. I quickly googled where the closest McDonald's in this city was and walked in there to raid it. Burgers, cheeseburgers, bacon burgers, a good load of fries, nuggets, I took everything they had and was ready to return to the hospital with three full bags, but then I remembered that I probably shouldn't run past the nurses with that. I quickly spotted an H&M across the street, went inside, picked up a random multipack of socks and walked to the cashier, asking them for the biggest paper bag they had, in which I then hid the food. Happy with my genius idea, I walked back and entered Kenan's room again.

"Oh! Your dinner looks great" I giggled when I saw the awful food which he was eyeing in front of him.
"I'm trying to figure out what this even is" he mumbled and furrowed his eyebrows.
"Don't worry, I'm your saviour" I announced as I pulled out my McDonald's bags.
"Have I told you already that I love you?" he asked and grinned, stretching out his hands. I pushed a chair next to his bed and we both dug into the food.
"This is the best part about being injured" he muttered with a full mouth.
