🎶 Mr. Loverman — Ricky Montgomery 🎶"Now you look good today" Claudio chirped as we ran into each other in a corridor of the Continassa.
"I feel good" I replied happily. The past weeks, we had finally had some better results - mostly draws, but at least we weren't losing. Kenan and I had finally taken a step forward and had decided to be together - in private for now, even though our friends knew about it, and I had also confessed to my godmother. His rehabilitation had also finally started and I was somehow glad that he didn't mope around the house all the time anymore and had something to look forward to, even though there still was a long way to his recovery."I'm happy that the therapist I gave you helped" he told me, shooting me a sincere smile.
"He really did, thanks again. It's this stupid human pride of wanting to manage everything alone. When in reality you're not managing anymore but just struggling" I sighed and he nodded, pressing his lips together.
"Yeah... I'll leave you to it. I'll see you at tomorrow's Christmas events briefing" he chuckled and I groaned - everyone knew how much I hated marketing and PR meetings. After a few more hours in conference rooms or glued to my computer, I decided to call it a day, remembering myself again that there were things I just couldn't control and me working overtime every day wouldn't solve the club's athletic struggles. As I was about to walk out of the building to my car - I had also started to drive on my own again to refrain myself to working an extra hectic 30 minutes on the backseat of a car - I ran into Fabio Miretti.
"Oh, hey!" I greeted him cheerily.
"Hey, Bibi. You look good! I mean, you always do, but something's different! Oh gosh, are you pregnant?" he replied excitedly and I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Uh... no. Just... trying to manage my life better. And that's why I would love to revoke my decline and accept your invitation to your party tonight" I replied brightly, but he looked... shocked?
"What?" he asked nervously.
"I know, I'm sorry, I hate those indecisive people too, but... I haven't been to a party in ages! I'm looking forward to it!" I gushed, shaking his arm excitedly before walking over to my Alfa and waving him goodbye. He stood there, a bit dumbfounded, watching me start my engine, when I rolled down my window.
"Oh, I forgot! Kenan's coming too. Will be our first couple outing... with friends at least" I shouted excitedly and he cracked a half-smile, half-laugh. He looked a bit... stupid, but then again, he looked like that most of the time, so I didn't put too much thought into it."I'm back!" I shouted as I stepped foot into mine and Kenan's house.
"Upstairs!" he shouted back and I hurried to our bedroom, where his voice had come from, only to find him with only boxers on, his hair still wet from a shower he had apparently just taken.
"Oh" I commented, biting my lip.
"Like what you see?" he asked, a mischievous grin on his face.
"I always do when you're around" I replied in a flirty tone, walking over to him to sling my arms around his neck before pressing a kiss onto his lips."Did you tell Fabio we're coming tonight?" he asked as I stepped back, just in time to give my butt a small squeeze.
"I did! He's looking forward to it!" I replied excitedly, having already completely blurred out his weird behaviour. Of course he was looking forward to see me, everyone always did, and I was definitely in the mood for partying tonight.
"Great, I am too. Our first time out as a couple again" he swooned and I grinned."We'll have Christmas with my folks to survive next, and only then will the worst come when we make it public" I chuckled sarcastically.
"The first two weeks will be bad maybe but then there will be some new scandal and we'll be good. We've never been flashy about our relationship, we won't start now" he tried to encourage me and I nodded, smiling.
"You're right. We have each other and that's all we need" I said and we both grinned like idiots.
