Talking It Out
"Well, that was an eventful evening," Linda stated as SummerSlam was now over. "How's your hand?" she leaned over asking.
"It's alright, I guess," I said.
"I can't believe you punched the wall," Zilla added in shaking his head before picking up my hand and examine the bandage making sure it wasn't bleeding through.
"I'd be more freaked out if I hadn't seen it before but I've now seen her do that twice and Jey so it happens," Linda said so casually like it was just another Saturday night in our house. She got up and started cleaning up the mess around the room. I turned back to my phone debating about making another post whether it was in regards to Cody, The Bloodline, or SummerSlam in general I wasn't sure yet. While I thought it over, I sent a quick message to Roman.
'Hey Chief, great match tonight, when you have time give me a call, no matter what time it is I want to make sure your okay, love you,' I wrote then sent the message. I pulled up my social media account and couldn't believe how many views both messages Cody and I had posted have gotten just since the start of SummerSlam.
I tweeted Cody's last post so no one thought I was talking about The Bloodline because I was keeping my opinions of the whole situation to wondering minds. Then left this message 'What comes next?......to be continued.' I hit post and watched everyone go crazy over the message.
"Briar!" Zilla whined as he looked up from his phone. It was very clear he got an update on my posting.
"What?" I asked.
"Don't you think you've stirred up enough trouble for one day? Do have I have to take your phone away?"
"I'm not a child Zilla, I'm just reminding the world that I'm still here and I'm not going anywhere," I told him and he sighed.
"I've seen a lot of comments asking you to post something on The Bloodline, they want to know what The Wild One thinks of everything going on."
"And that's how you keep them coming back for more, they want to know but I won't make any comments on the situation until I make my return," I told him.
"Well, if you want to make that return, I suggest you don't punch anymore walls," he stated and I just smiled a big grin at him.
"I don't make promises I can't guarantee I can't keep."
"Maybe this one you should, B. How you suppose to draw with that hand if it's damaged. A lot of people count on your ability to do your art," he said and my smile faded away.
"Your right, I'm sorry," I said. "But it can't always be helped, I am who I am and I can't just not be me." Zilla leaned over and put his arm around my shoulders.
"I don't want you to not be you, but could you do me a favor and not stress me out so much," he said and I laughed.
"Roman has said the same thing to me a few times before."
"And as always the Tribal Chief is right," he said. After about an hour hanging out in the living room I headed back upstairs. Even though I slept a lot of the day I was tired. The adrenaline high and the stress from SummerSlam was starting to wear off. I still heard nothing from Roman as I laid my head down on the pillow then my mind wondered to Jey and my heart broke for him. I sent him a quick message as well.
'I'm so sorry about what went down, I can't imagine how you feel right now but just know Big Uce I'm here for you, always.' I wrote and sent that off. I drifted off to sleep with my bandaged hand throbbing and Sergeant next to me.
