Plan Into Action

The Rock's music hit and my eyes got wide. He was the most famous person in Roman's family and the biggest movie star on the planet. But he was also someone Roman and I really hadn't discussed much about. He hasn't been anywhere near the company since before I joined with The Bloodline.

"Have you met him?" Naomi asked.

"No, I haven't it. What's your impression of him."

"He takes care of the family, but when it comes to business, he'll do what he needs to whether it's beneficial to the family or not. He's nice and all but he's about the money a lot of the time and The Rock is usually always about The Rock," she said and I pondered her words as we watched him make his entrance the crowd literally coming unglued at the sight of him. He talked a minute before him and Jinder went back and forth on the mic and I was actually impressed with how Jinder handled himself on the mic. They say The Rock was one of the best on the mic but I wondered what it would be like if him and I were in the ring on the mic what would happen, who'd have the last word.

After like nearly ten minutes of the two of them jabbering on and on at each other Jinder finally had enough of The Rock calling him all these names and went right on the attack. But after only a few good hits The Rock got in control landing a people's elbow and whipping him once with his belt and the crowd was just eating it up. There was like two minutes left of the show as The Rock picked a mic back up off the mat.

"Just one more thing before I go San Diego," he said. "After all this is over, I'm going to go out into San Deigo I'm a little hungry, I'm going to go get something to eat," he said and Naomi and I both looked at each other confused.

"Where's this going?" she asked.

"I'm not sure," I said as we turned back to keep watching but I wasn't liking this feeling I was starting to get.

"When The Rock goes out to get something to eat tonight, should The Rock sit in a booth?" he asked. And I almost gave myself whip lash as I stood up so damn fast.

"No fucking way is he going to say it," I said.

"Say what?" Linda asked but I didn't answer. My eyes were glued to the TV, my ears open and hanging onto every word he was saying.

"Or should The Rock sit at the bar?" he asked.

"Oh shit," Naomi said as she finally realized what was going to happen.

"Or should The Rock sit at the head of the table," he said and the crowd went wild again.

"I can't believe he said that!" Naomi exclaimed and Linda still looked at me confused.

"Sit at the head of the table isn't Roman considered the head of the table?" she asked.

"He is the head of the table," I assured her.

"But then why....," she started saying then pausing. "Oh...oh dear, this isn't good," she said realizing what just happened.

"Not likely," I answered.

"What do you think Roman thinks of this?" Naomi asked but as I opened my mouth to speak Roman's theme song filled the living room. Sergeant went into a frenzy as all of us stared down at my phone on the table. A picture of the two of us appearing up at me.

"I guess I'll be finding out," I said picking up the phone.

"What if he doesn't even know about it yet? Good luck breaking that news," Naomi said. I grabbed my notebook and walked away from them down the hallway to my office.
