The Implosion of The Bloodline
It was a very quiet ride back to the house my mind was everywhere and I felt like I was having an out of body experience. Could the man I'd been talking to be my father, my father who abandoned me and my mother when I was only a year old. Would I meet with him on Saturday? Should I meet with him on Saturday? My mind was just gone, never in a million years would I have expected this to be happen right now. I guess when I was younger, I thought about him but I made it just fine on my own, I didn't need him anymore.
I must have blacked out because we were already in the driveway and Zilla had my door open talking to me, but I just felt stuck, I'd been stuck many times before as The Wild One but this was not that. I was having that problem I always have when I'm in a state like this there is no sound. Zilla was trying to talk to me but it was like I was paralyzed into shock. I didn't move nor speak.
Zilla disappeared and a minute later Linda was standing there, I felt their presence and knew she was very worried. Linda even started shaking my shoulders. I was trying to pull myself out of this shock state the problem was I didn't know how. Muffled sounds started to come back and I realized I was my own strength and my own weakness. I was in control of what was going to be. I had no reason to be in this state for someone I didn't know, someone who if that is who he is, he didn't think twice about leaving me behind.
"Call Roman," Linda screeched at Zilla was the first bit of sound that came back to me.
"No," my voice came and they jumped at the sound turning to look at me as I was finally able to turn to look at them. "I'm okay, I was just taken back, I'd like to get out now," I stated swinging my legs to the outside of the car.
"My gosh Briar do you really think he's your father. Zilla showed me the picture but I'd never met him or seen a picture your mother when she did talk about him, she didn't have anything nice to say. I'm sure most of what she had to say about him wasn't the truth she was just bitter that he left," Linda ranted on.
"It's okay, Linda, I just... I don't know. I mean I don't even know if that's who it is, the whole thing was just odd."
"But your gut instinct says it is?" she asked.
"Yeah, his eyes were my eyes," I said getting out of the car as Zilla gave me the crutches.
"I can't believe this," Linda said.
"Neither can I," I answered. We went inside and I recounted the entire conversation to Linda and Zilla who both said they would have come to the same conclusion as me.
"So, what are you going to do are you going to go meet him?" Zilla asked.
"I don't know but can we keep this between the three of us. I just I need to think about it without anyone else's thoughts or opinions, I want to make this decision on my own."
"You're not even going to tell Roman?" Zilla asked.
"No, and you're not either, he needs to focus on the show tomorrow, I'll tell him Saturday that is if I even go back and met this guy," I said.
"This is insane, I thought my life was crazy it's nothing compared to yours B," Zilla said shaking his head.
"If I go on Saturday, you'll come with me?" I asked.
"Try and stop me," he firmly stated but that was Saturday, for now I had tomorrow to worry about and what was going to happen to The Bloodline on SmackDown.
