The Death of Bray Wyatt

An hour after Zilla and Jacob left Linda headed out to do a few errands and pick Roman up at the airport his flight was supposed to land at six thirty. I went upstairs put on some comfortable clothes which consisted of black shorts and one of Roman's t-shirts which for him was the perfect fit but for me it was oversized just the way I liked it. I went back downstairs where me and Sergeant made home on the couch. I put on SummerSlam 2022 just so I could watch Roman vs. Brock because it was one of my favorite matches. I did watch some of the other matches before I got to that part. As I excited as I was to watch the match I just got through the entrances and Brock bringing out the tractor when I started drifting in and out of sleep. I thought I was doing a good job of staying awake till Sergeant started barking and woke me out of a dead sleep.

"What, what is it?" I asked shooting up and right into Roman's arms.

"Everything's fine," he said as Sergeant was running circles next to Roman who was kneeled down on the floor next to the couch his hand on my arm. My heart rate starting to go back down.

"Chief, I'm sorry I must have dozed off," I said.

"I can see why, you're watching this match," he said looking to the TV. I must not have been out as long as I thought because the match was only half over.

"No way, this is one of my favorite matches, watch the rest of it with me?" I asked tugging on his arm through sleepy and tired eyes.

"Sure," he said. I was already sitting up so he sat down and pulled me onto his lap. My back resting against the arm rest of the couch and I curled up into his chest.

"Welcome home Chief, I'm glad your back," I said.

"I missed you too, why you so tired?" he asked.

"I guess dealing with three Samoans all weekend wears you out," I stated.

"Zilla, Jacob, and let me guess Jey," he said and I nodded. "I figured, it seems after something major happens, he finds his way back here."

"I know you just got here Chief, and I don't want to start something but I tried to talk Jey into staying to talk to you. But he didn't want to, he wanted to let it go for now. But Chief at some point you're going to have to fix this, I don't want to be breaking up fights on our wedding day," I told him feeling sleep tug at me more.

"I promise our wedding day is going to be perfect," he said leaning down kissing the top of my head and I curled more in to him.

"I missed you so much Chief," I said then gave in to the sleep.

Tuesday, I had two interesting phone calls. The first with Richard who for once asked how my leg was recovering. When I told him things were going well and I could be training and back in the ring soon, he made one comment about why I should just let go of such an obscene job and join the business world. It set me off again and we got into a fight. I told him I was a part of the business world just in a different way as him. He told me that wasn't true and we spent the next ten minutes arguing about it neither of us refusing to see the others side of the conversation. I finally had enough and told him we'd talk again another time. I hung up the phone and threw it across the living room as it thumbed into the chair.

"Arghhh," I yelled before falling onto the couch in anger and crossing my arms.

"That didn't sound like a civil conversation," Roman said approaching from behind as he was coming back up from the gym.
