What Needs to Happen

By Tuesday afternoon everyone had gone. All that remained was The Bloodline, Jimmy, Solo, Roman, Paul, and me, also Linda, Naomi, and Rick which after dealing with so many people every day for weeks the eight of us didn't seem like much now. Once they'd gone that afternoon, I went upstairs to change into some workout clothes since I didn't get a chance to work out this morning with people leaving. Roman, Rick, Solo, and Paul went together to take Afa, Sika, and Rikishi to the airport so Naomi, Jimmy, and Linda and I were the only ones at the house for the moment.

"It's too quiet now," Linda stated as I went into the kitchen to grab a bottle of water. "I was used to the quiet, then you joined the family that brought noise and I got used to the noise now the quiet is back and I'm not so sure I like it anymore," she told me.

"Yeah, I'm not so sure I like the quiet anymore either at least the quiet that you're talking about," I said back and she had a look of shock covering her face.

"My dear those are words I'd never thought I'd hear coming out of your mouth."

"Honestly me neither, but here we are. Before The Bloodline I'd have never said that, I'd also never thought before The Bloodline I'd ever have a chance at winning the Royal Rumble and everyone hanging onto every word I'd say and every move I'd make."

"But you did and they do, hell even I do at this point. Even just watching from the sidelines I'm glad I can be a part of this too. I'm happy with this life you've given me."

"Funny I said something similar to Roman the night before the Rumble. Maybe it all just comes back around. He gave me the choice to join The Bloodline and I did and it changed my life. Just like I gave you the choice to join me here," I said.

"And it changed my life," she said and I walked over to her giving her a hug. "I could never do this without you, deal with all of this without you. You are my right-hand lady and my maid of honor for a reason," I said and she hugged me tighter.

"Alright enough mushy stuff, go do your workout," she said letting go and pushing me away. I was just about out of the kitchen when she called back to me and suddenly, she seemed hesitant and shy.

"What is it?"

"Seeing you being happy with Roman, has made me wonder if I could have the chance again to be happy like that."

"I bet you could be and you should be I say no one deserves it more than you."

"It's just after the all the drama and issues with my first husband I thought I'd never marry or really date again. I was content with raising my children and healing myself, and being okay with just being with me but now...,"

"Now you see what it could be. I want nothing more than for you to be happy and I'm on your side no matter what you decide."

"I think I like Rick," she blurted out suddenly then put her hand over her mouth like she couldn't believe she said it out loud, but I just grinned at her.

"I always thought you two would be good for each other."

"I just don't want to screw anything up, because I know he'll be around with the family and I don't want to make it awkward, if he says no."

"Sometimes you just have to take the risk. Roman and I kept our relationship a secret for so long not because he wanted to hide it but because I was scared to make it awkward with everyone else. But at some point, you have to take the leap. If you know what the consequences are both good or bad and you can accept both sides then you're ready to find out. There's no going back Linda, just forward and it's up to you decided where that forward is going to go. And I've seen how Rick looks at you, I don't think he'd say no. If he hasn't made a move yet I think it's just because of the same reason you haven't either. It's only awkward if you make it awkward, plus no one said you had to move fast you can go as slow as you want to."
