SmackDown 2/2/24 part 2

The Great One

I walked into gorilla with nothing but confidence and annoyance. Hunter gave me an approving nod as I walked by him and out of gorilla only to find Solo waiting for me.

"You're calm," he stated as I approached.

"My adrenaline is high and I'm annoyed at that bitch so if you want to call that calm then yeah, I'm calm," I said through clenched teeth and balled up fists.

"Well, I just mean you're not...you know," he said.

"Losing my mind to the Wild One, you can say it Solo I won't get upset. Don't worry I'm fine. I've thought of how that scenario was going to go many times, so I was prepared for anything, no Wild One at large here, though I think she may have deserved it," I sneered crossing my arms. Solo put his arm across my shoulders and pulling me to his side.

"Come on, let's go back to the locker room, the others are waiting. When do you have your other segment?" he asked.

"In a while I think not that long before Roman ends the show, they said they'd come get me when they were ready."

"Want me in it?" he asked.

"Thanks, but this is just going to be me and the new guy."

"You sure you can handle him?" Solo asked and I gave him a sideways glance as I raised my eyebrows at him. "Right my bad, I forgot for a second, a little advice though don't squash his ego too much."

"No promises it depends on where the conversation goes, what he says will determine how hard he'll fall."

"For his sake I hope he doesn't push the wrong button," Solo said as we arrived at the locker room. Sergeant came bouncing over to me as I entered.

"Oh man him seeing you on TV Little Uce, I thought he was going to have a stroke," Jimmy said.

"Yeah girl, you got a crazy dog," Naomi pipped up. "Also, some crazy ass mic skills she never had a chance before she even got into the ring."

"No, she didn't because over eight months was a really long time to stew and ponder about what happened," I told her. We all hung out in the locker room and as the night moved on, I got a little calmer. At some point I turned my attention to Roman who'd been sitting next me but who had been quiet for quite some time now.

"Something on your mind?" I asked him.

"Something is off with tonight," he said.

"You mean with Cody?" I question.

"Not just him with the entire situation, I feel like there's a piece I'm missing, that I'm not getting yet," he said and I thought about it but I wasn't so sure what it could be but when he said something was off it made me worry.

"Do you want me to go out there with you?" I asked and he finally looked up and placed his hand on my knee.

"I appreciate that, but I'll handle my business just like you handled yours. I'm sure I'm just overthinking things," he said and a knock came at the door.

"Briar they are ready for you," Paul said turning to me after he answered it. I grabbed Roman's hand as I stood up.

"Don't ignore it Chief," I told him. "If your gut instinct is telling you something's off then trust it's telling you the truth, be careful out there," I advised giving his hand a squeeze before letting go, leaving the room, and following security down the hallway. We got to our location and they started filming me going down the hallway. I stopped though as Nick Aldis moved into frame next to me. I was totally improvising this interaction; I was going to say whatever needed to be said in the moment to whatever it was he was saying to me.
