You're Both Important

Over the next week and a half, I'd only brief been able to talk to some of the family. Jimmy suffered some hurt ribs so he flew back home and was going to take a little time away to recover. I had very limited conversations with Jey through some text messaging. Even trying to get a hold of Roman wasn't easy, it was discouraging at times. I tried to focus my mind on doing other things but I couldn't help feel the family drifting in different directions. By the following Friday only Jey, Solo, and Paul were on.

Jey had come out to the ring alone which that in itself felt odd. He talks about how hurt he is about Jimmy being injured by his own family members. He says he respects his heritage and the legends of his family that came before but when it comes to Roman Reigns, he's going to disrespect every part of him. Jey even starts saying how he's the real Tribal Chief, the real head of the table, that he is Main Event Jey Uso. Paul and Solo then interrupt them where Heyman introduces Solo as the enforcer of The Bloodline and tonight he's here to enforce peace as Heyman and Jey are just going to have a little chat as next week Roman will be there to talk rules of engagement for their match at SummerSlam. So tonight, there won't be any physicality as Solo and Heyman get into the ring. Then Paul goes on to tell Jey that everything that has happened to Jimmy is all Jey's fault. He asks Jey how his family could forgive him, how he could forgive himself, how Jimmy could possibly forgive him. In the mist of his rant Solo turns to Paul and ask for the mic. Solo reiterates that what happened to Jimmy is all Jey's fault and that Solo would never forgive Jey. Jey gets pissed and storms at his younger brother and punches him. Solo goes for a Samoan spike but Jey ducks out of the way and superkicks him sending Solo out of the ring and onto the floor. Jey turns around to find Paul on his knees pleading with Jey to not hurt him. Heyman distracts Jey long enough for Solo to get back in the ring to attack Jey from behind. Solo again tries to hit the Samoan spike on Jey but again Jey gets out of the way and Jey starts punching on Solo who rolls out of the ring to get away the same time Heyman slides a chair into the ring and gets in. As Paul finally gets up, he runs at Jey who turns and superkicks the Wiseman.

"Oh damn, that's not going to go over well," Zilla said. As the crowd is going wild Solo has gotten to his feet so Jey hits the ropes and goes flying through the ropes to take his brother out. Jey gets back into the ring where Paul is finally coming around and once again pleads with Jey as Jey has now picked up the chair. Before Jey can do anything else to Paul Solo comes in and takes a chair shot for him. Solo and Paul escape as Jey stands tall in the ring. That ended The Bloodline segments for the night. I wondered what was going to happen next and new it was just going to get more intense as SummerSlam approached.

Thinking about SummerSlam kind of depressed me. It was approaching a year ago I was trying to come back from injury and I'd agreed to join The Bloodline. I was in the hotel room watching Roman Vs. Brock at SummerSlam last year and I couldn't wait till the next one because I was determined to be a part of an unforgettable SummerSlam moment. But that wasn't going to be the case, I was going to once again be on the sidelines watching from a distance. The feeling was crushing, it was devastating, but it was also motivating. I will not miss SummerSlam for a third year in a row.

It was around nine in the morning on that Sunday and I just was feeling anxious about a lot of things, so anxious I couldn't keep my hands steady enough to paint or draw. So, I went outside to the front yard. It was a very nice morning, not to hot out yet. I sat in the shade filling some planter boxes with flowers Linda and gotten for me the other day. Sergeant was laying on the pavement next to him and Zilla took to sitting in the rocking chair as his hair was still wet from his shower after his workout. Another thing I missed working out, I thought as I packed dirt around the flower, I'd just placed in the planter box. After a while the peace and quiet was interrupted by a loud engine. Zilla and I glanced at each other as we looked toward the driveway. The sound was getting louder then from around the corner something familiar appeared before my eyes, a bus, the bus of The Bloodline was pulling up. I slowly got off the ground, my legs a little stiff from the way I was sitting but I walked over back to the front door to the sidewalk path to the driveway. The bus pulled around and came to a stop. Zilla and Sergeant followed behind me as I stood on the end of the sidewalk just before the pavement of the driveway started I wasn't expecting this. The woosh of the door came out and the first one that came out was Rick.
