Next Move

Roman was sitting on the edge of the bed on his side. His hands gripped into fist as he stared down. I slid my shoes and my jacket off. Normally I'd go around and sit on the bed next to him but this seemed like a time for a different approach. I crawled onto the bed and moved behind him. I was very well aware that he was aware of my whereabouts. I was on my knees behind him and I slid my hands up over his shoulders and then down his chest resting my cheek against the side of his head. We stayed like that for a few moments and I felt some of the tension in him release a little bit before I whispered in his ear.

"A legacy so great it can't be touched no matter who steps in front of you," I said into his ear. "That's what I'm seeing right now, I know it's not the road we saw this going down but it only means a change of strategy nothing else. Family has stepped to you before not exactly like this but that just means you know what needs to be done. I'm right here with you Chief, whatever you want to do," I said and I gripped tighter to him as the bus started moving. Roman reached up and ran his hand down my tattooed arm.

"I don't like being taken by surprise like that, especially in front of everyone. I shouldn't have ignored it. Damn it I'm so mad at myself for not seeing this coming," he said gripping my arm more.

"That why you pulled a Briar Wild move when you left gorilla?" I asked.

"You heard about that?"

"I'm sorry I should have been there. When his music hit, I should have left the locker room and went to gorilla to wait for you. I was just to stunned first at Cody giving up his spot at Mania only to have given it to The Rock of all people," I said. Roman sighed before turning on the bed and pulling me around and onto his lap. His arms wrapped around me as I looked into his eyes.

"Not your fault, besides remember I'm the head of the table, the Tribal Chief I'm the one supposed to be taking care of things," he said.

"This is true, but I'm also here to help you take care of things," I told him and he leaned his forehead against mine and I closed my eyes. Just wanting to feel the moment instead of seeing it.

"Believe me you do help, more than you know. Now what was that you said on live TV that there's only one person in the world that can control you," he teased and a sly smile started spreading across my face. "Do I know this person?" he asked and I knew what he wanted; he wanted me to say it.

"Of course you know this person, because you are that person. Although everything I said to Aldis was on the fly in the moment, I still meant everything I said to him. I admit it to the entire world my kryptonite is you."

"A risky thing to do," he breathed, our foreheads still pressed together.

"Maybe but my kryptonite isn't weakness, my kryptonite isn't that easy to be used against me in fact the more I think about it, my kryptonite would be nearly impossible to use against me."

"You're not wrong," he said and his lips finally met mine as he gripped me tighter. Our lips pressed hard and furious together. I'd always crave the taste of him, and the calm he gives me and the protectiveness he gives me even if my Wild One always tries to fight against it, it's what I've been wanting my whole life. We broke away after several long minutes breathing hard, staring into each other's eyes.

"What's our next move Chief?" I asked.

"Next move in the general sense or next move in right here, right now with us?" he asked slyly.

"Whichever one you want to come first," I countered back, taking the risk.

"Right now, I want what's right in front of me," he said running his hand down the side of my face.
