~ SAMARA LEWIS PENDLETON FERNANDEZ POV ~It's been six days since I last received a message from my baby, and she hasn't been responding to any of my texts or calls. I'm really starting to get worried about her and the situation we are in right now. The uncertainty is making me anxious, and I can't help but think about what might be going on.
"What's wrong with her?!" I exclaimed, frustration evident in my voice. I recalled the argument we had before I left, and the memory made my heart ache. I never wanted to leave her, but I had to take care of some important matters here in Cebu. These issues needed my immediate attention, not just for my sake, but for our future together. I wanted to make sure that everything was in place and secure for the both of us, so that we could build a stable and happy life. The thought that she might still be upset with me only added to my concern and worry.
I've been considering the future and the possibility that our company might face challenges if someone else takes over my position. To prepare for such a scenario, I've been planning to start my own architecture firm for quite some time now. Even though it will be a new and small company initially, I believe it has the potential to grow and make a significant impact.
I know there might be pressure from my family to marry my friend Patrick if the situation at the company becomes unstable or going to fall down. To avoid that outcome and secure my future, I made detailed plans before returning to the Philippines. My goal is to become the new CEO of Pendleton Design Creative Corporation which has already happened, and establish another company as a backup in case some things happened. This new venture will be named after my baby, Zsalm Jelani Building and Design, as a tribute to her and the inspiration she has given me.
I might be staying with Lane for a few weeks, but I'm not oblivious to what's been happening in our company since my older brother, Kuya Zaint, took over my position. While I chose to prioritize my relationship with Lane over everything else, the company still means a great deal to me. It's something I deeply care about and have worked hard for, so the thought of losing it is unbearable. That's why I decided to come to Cebu, to seek assistance from my employees and address the issues we're facing. I know that with their support and dedication, we can overcome the challenge and secure the future of the PDC Corp.
"Ma'am Samara, I'm worried that we might lose half of our company's stockholders if we choose to invest in that company," my business manager said, clearly concerned about the potential risks.
"I understand your worries," I responded, keeping my tone firm but reassuring. "But my family's business is in a critical situation and needs our company's help right now. That's why I'm here, to figure out how to make this work. I believe that by making this investment, we can not only help my family's business but also create new growth opportunities for our own company. I know it seems risky, but sometimes we have to take bold steps to secure a better future."
My business manager nodded thoughtfully, still hesitant but open to the idea. "I see your point, Ma'am Samara. But what if the shareholders don't agree with our plan? How can we convince them this investment is the right move?"
I leaned forward, feeling determined. "We need to present a detailed plan that highlights the long-term benefits and strategic advantages of this investment. We'll show how it aligns with our company's goals and values and how it can lead to greater stability and profitability in the long run. It's about giving them a clear picture of the potential growth beyond the immediate risks."
She looked at me with a new understanding. "Alright, I'll start drafting the plan and gather the necessary data to support our case. We'll need to be clear and thorough in our presentation to gain their trust and approval."
