There’s a moment of silence among my family as we all sit together at the long table. The air is thick with anticipation and curiosity. Grandpa, sits at the head of the table, his wise eyes reflecting deep thought, while talking with our company's business manager, Auntie Melani, with her usual grace and calm demeanor, and Uncle Sid her husband, known for his straightforward and practical nature, are both carefully considering the request I’ve put before them. The atmosphere is filled with a mix of expectation and hope as they discuss my proposal.
"We might put our company's name in jeopardy, Chairman," our business manager said, his voice tinged with concern. He glanced around the table, his eyes reflecting the weight of his worries. "This decision isn't just a simple matter. The implications could be far-reaching and affect our reputation significantly."
Grandpa leaned back in his chair, his brow furrowed as he absorbed the business manager's words. "I understand your concerns," he replied thoughtfully. "But we must also consider the potential benefits and opportunities this decision could bring us. We need to weigh both the risks and the rewards."
Auntie Melani nodded in agreement, her expression serious. "It's true that the stakes are high, but we have to be bold sometimes. Calculated risks are part of growing and sustaining the business."
Uncle Sid chimed in, his tone pragmatic. "Let's not forget, though, that we need a solid plan in place to mitigate any possible fallout. We can't go into this blindly."
The business manager sighed, acknowledging the points raised. "You're right. We need to proceed with caution, but also with confidence. Let's gather more data and make sure we have all the information before making a final decision."
The room fell silent again as everyone pondered the conversation, the gravity of the situation clear to all. Napahinga nalang ako nang malalim nung marinig ang sinabi niya.
"Saji, don't worry we will find a way." sabi ni kuya Hilantho at hinawakan ang kamay ko. "Why don't you call her first?" he added.
I really miss my baby, but I need to make sacrifices for a while for the good of her company, even if it means swallowing my pride and asking for my family's help. The pain of being apart from her is almost killing me, but I know it's necessary. I want to ensure that all our problems are resolved before I see her again. It's important to me that when we see each other again, she won't have to struggle with anything or feel the weight of our issues. I want her to come back to a stable and peaceful environment, where she can be happy and carefree. This temporary separation is difficult, but it's a step toward a better future for both of us.
"Thank you for your suggestions, we'll talk again later." sabi ni Grandpa
"We will see what we can do, sir." tumayo na rin iyong business manager, kasunod ang secretary niya, bumaling pa sila sa akin at ngumiti bago lumabas.
Grandpa looked at me and gave me a weak smile. "You can roam around our company, Hija," he said, and I smiled back. "We'll try to grant your request, but in exchange, you will work here as one of the executives," he added.
I was about to speak when someone from the doorway beat me to it. "You can't just put her in this company, Dad!" Uncle Hernan exclaimed, his voice rising with indignation.
