Remember M'Dear's Roast?

Moz: "Well, all the guests are gone."
Jeb: "Well, we haven't partied this late since 1999."
I laughed a bit while Shaka came and sat next to me.
Shaka: "Did I miss anything?"
Y/n: "No you're good."
Shaka: "Good because I love gift giving."
He said putting his hand on my thigh.
Y/n: "Yeah, I know. You bought me an expensive protection vest."
I laughed.
Shaka: "But you liked it though."
He said shrugging. I smiled.
Y/n: "Yeah, I got it on right now."
He just shook his head while smiling too. Grace got up to give her gift to M'Dear.
Grace: "I hope you like it. It's from us kids."
M'Dear: "Okay"
She began to open the gift.
M'Dear: "Oh! It's absolutely beautiful, isn't it? Oh thank you kids. You know? I'm exhausted and I thank you for a wonderful birthday, but this old 40-year-old woman needs to get up and go to bed."
She said standing up.
Shaka: "Wow M'Dear. You're getting younger."
M'Dear: "Well, parties do that for me baby."
Cocoa sat her drink down quickly.
Cocoa: "M'Dear, I have something for you. Well, actually, it's from me and Moz."
Moz handed her a gift bag.
M'Dear: "Well, just let me do this again."
She said going back to sit in her throne.
M'Dear: "Okay baby, let's see here."
She said taking the gift paper out of the bag and grabbing a picture frame. Her and Mr. Jeb froze.
M'Dear: "Ohhh! Is this what I think it is?!"
Jade: "What is it M'Dear?"
M'Dear: "Oh my goodness!"
She said showing the whole group. Shaka and I's mouths dropped shocked.
Ami: "What kind of gift is that? It's not even in color."
Mazzi: "Is that a picture of a lima bean?"
Jade: "Woah...Mom are you pregnant?"
Cocoa: "Yes, I am!"
She said smiling big.
Moz: "Surprise!"
Cocoa: "Surprise!"
We all get up to give her hugs.
Jeb: "Well I'll be! Another grandchild!"
M'Dear: "This is the best present ever! And it explains all those pounds you've been packing on!"
She said slapping Cocoa's butt. I laughed before I gave her a hug.
Y/n: "Congratulations Cocoa"
I walked back over to Shaka.
Y/n: "Another younger sibling! Oh how I love being an only child."
I said and he furrowed his eyebrows.
Shaka: "What do you mean? They're practically your siblings too."
Y/n: "Whatever"
I said shaking my head.
Y/n: "Do you wanna walk me back to my house?"
He grabbed both of my hands and pulled me a little closer to him.
Shaka: "Right now? You don't want to hang out a little?"
Y/n: "I would love to, but I'm really tired. Like Mr. Jeb said, it's late."
He moved his head a bit.
Shaka: "True. Let me go inside real quick and then we can go."
Y/n: "Okay"
He walked off, so I went to the other McKellan kids.
Daniel: "Alright you guys, I am leaving to engage in my new task....eating this to-go food."
We all laughed.
Grace: "Me too. Even with what happened earlier, Jordan invited me out for a few..drinks."
She said quietly.
All: "Bye!"
Y/n: "I'm about to leave too guys. Well, after Shaka comes back."
We talked for a while before Mazzi eventually picked up his camera.
Mazzi: "Let me get a picture of you, Jade and Ami before you leave!"
Y/n: "Okay!"
Us three got together and smiled. He took the picture.
Y/n: "Okay, now where is Shaka? He's taking a while."
Mazzi smiled.
Mazzi: "Look behind you."
I turned around and saw Shaka on one knee with a ring pinched between his fingers.
Y/n: "What the-"
Ami: "Oh my god! Shaka's proposing to Y/n!"
Moz: "Ami"
Shaka: "No Ami, I'm not. It's a promise ring."
He said smiling and shaking his head at her. He moved the ring to his right hand and grabbed my left hand with his left.
Shaka: "Y/n...I....well I had something I planned to say, but I'd rather just speak from the heart. From that first day I met you at the front door of this house I immediately thought you were the prettiest girl I had ever seen. You've been here through everything, and we've been through so many hard times together and we still made it through. You're my best friend, best classmate, best neighbor, and most of all the best girl I've ever met. Sooo long story short, I wanted to ask if you'd allow me to make amends and be your boyfriend once again, considering the fact that I feel I have earned your trust back. Plus, with this promise ring, I promise to be there for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love you and cherish you until death do us part."
Jade: "I thought you said you weren't proposing."
I laughed a little through the tears that were now streaming down my face.
Shaka: "Ignoring Jade...."
He looked around before looking at my face.
Shaka: "Please?"
I laughed again while sniffling.
Y/n: "Yes Shaka! Yes!"
Shaka: "Good cause I do not have the best knees."
He said sliding the ring on my finger. He stood up and wiped my tears. The family started clapping.
Shaka: "Stop crying, you're gonna make me cry."
All I could do was pull him into the happiest kiss I think we've ever shared.
Ami: "Ewww"
Jade: "Why can't I find good love like this?!"
I pulled back while laughing a bit while sniffling.
Y/n: "I wish my mom was here to see this."
Shaka: "She is"
He said pointing in a direction. I turned around and saw my mom and Roman standing there.
Y/n: "Wait- but I thought-"
Candy: "Shaka set it all up. He let me know this morning what the plan was, so I actually did go to Roman's, but to bring him here."
I looked at Shaka.
Y/n: "You really planned this. Like really really planned this."
I said biting my lip a bit, trying to refrain from crying even more.
Shaka: "Duh, I couldn't mess this up again."
I kissed him one more time.
Y/n: "I love you, Shaka McKellan."
Shaka: "I love you too ,Y/n."
