Shaka and I were going to hang out in my room after we finished cleaning up the nerf war. My mom is home and said that if I wanted to I could invite him over. I was practically dragging him up the stairs because he hasn't been in my room since I started to change it around. I would normally go over to his house, but my mom has finally lightened up a bit after everything that happened and is letting him come over.
Shaka: "Y/n! Slow down I'm gonna fall."
Y/n: "Sorry!"
I said as we finally got to the top. I looked at him.
Y/n: "Cover your eyes."
Shaka: "Are you serious?"
Y/n: "So serious."
I smiled at him.
Y/n: "Please"
He sighed.
Shaka: "Okay fine"
He put his hands over his eyes. I poked his cheek causing him to smile. I opened my room door and slowly walked him in.
Y/n: "It looks completely different. New bed, new desk, new wallpaper...ish.... okay 3 2 1!"
He moved his hands and looked around.
Shaka: "It does look completely different."
He walked over to my desk and I followed him. He picked up one of the pictures and looked at it. I stood on my tippy toes to peek over his shoulder and see what he was looking at. It was the picture of  Me, Mazzi and him that we had sent to get Charlie Wilson to come. You know, the one where their shirts say 'Amelia's grandkids' and mine says 'their best friend' on it. I smiled.
Shaka: "I remember this day."
Y/n: "Me too. I have a lot of pictures of us. Like these ones."
I said picking one up from one of my new nightstands. I went and grabbed two more from my dresser before dragging him to sit on my bed. I sat criss-crossed while he sat with his legs straight out.
Y/n: "Okay first, these two from my dresser. Remember this one?"
He looked at it and smiled.
Shaka: "Yeah. That's the day when M'Dear found out we were helping Jade cheat in that game from Vacation Bible School. She sprayed us all with whipped cream on the porch."
The picture was a selfie I took of him and I with whipped cream all over our faces. I had my tongue out with my eyes crossed while he was putting whipped cream on the side of my face.
Y/n: "Yeah."
I said smiling.
Y/n: "Then this one. Us posing in our gis before our first Taekwondo practice."
He furrowed his eyebrows.
Shaka: "That's a moment you want to remember?"
He said moving to sit how I was sitting.
Y/n: "Yeah...this was when I was so happy doing taekwondo. Like before the bad"
Shaka: "I like how you can see the positive in that."
He said resting a hand on my leg. I reached for the last frame, the one I keep on my side table.
Y/n: "Okay, now this one is special."
He looked in my eyes.
Shaka: "Why?"
I smiled.
Y/n: "It moves."
Shaka: "Moves?"
Y/n: "Okay, before you look...I had this made like a week ago. Not when we were separate. I'm not that weird..."
Shaka: "wellll"
Y/n: "Shaka don't play with me. Do you wanna see or not?"
He nodded quickly. I turned it around and he looked down at it. It was one of those picture frames that's like a video. In the video I had put together my favorite moments with Shaka. From trying out for the dance team, taekwondo, to small memories like when he used to carry me when I was relearning how to walk or when he would kiss me before I was locked away, cheek and lips. I smiled at it as I watched the memories go by. When it got back to the beginning we both looked up at each other. I couldn't tell what he was thinking. He looked shocked, happy, confused, so many different emotions at once.
Y/n: "What, is it too mu-"
Shaka: "Y/n I love you!"
He said sighing.
Shaka: "I love you so much! Ever since I first got here for that stupid family reunion that we traveled the whole country to get to, I knew I was going to love you. And I'm sorry.....I'm sorry for leaving you or not checking on you in that one time period. I was so dumb for that. It's like my mind was blurred because how could I be so confused that I didn't talk to you. I should have never got with anyone else or even talked to another girl when you are everything I want and more. I've been fighting to get you back, doing anything I can and I'm just sorry!"
I didn't know what to say, how to respond. I looked at his eyes and saw tears, like real tears. He was trying so hard not to let them fall. I stuck my bottom lip out a little bit.
Y/n: "Aww baby"
I said reaching out for him. He leaned his head down. I moved and pulled is head to my chest. I have never, in the years that I've known Shaka, ever seen him this emotional.
Y/n: "Shaka don't cry. It's okay... it's okay.."
I knew that he really meant every word. He's breaking down, right in front of me.
Y/n: "I love you too"
I whispered to him. I lifted his head.
Y/n: "Listen to me. I love you too! And I know, I may have made it seem like it was your fault through all of that. I never actually blamed you. I just wanted you so bad. You were my everything...you are my everything."
I said wiping his tears and trying not to cry. I obviously couldn't though.
Y/n: "It's not your fault and it was never your fault."
Shaka: "But I left you there- here.... with her."
Y/n: "Shaka Zulu, it's not your fault."
I said wiping his tears. He smiled a bit.
Shaka: "I wasn't expecting you to say that."
I laughed a little through the tears. I wiped them away while saying
Y/n: "Well I had to say something to distract you. I don't want to see you cry."
I said cupping his face.
Y/n: "And in case you didn't hear it, I love you too."
I said pulling him into a kiss. It had been so long since our lips had touched. I had so many different feelings at one time, I had butterflies in my stomach. All I could think about was how happy I was to have him back and how happy he probably was to have me too. When we leaned back we kept our foreheads connected.
Y/n: "I'm so sorry for making you feel like that, I was just in pain and didn't realize how you felt and how it affected you."
Shaka: "And I'm sorry for not checking in"
After that, I convinced him to watch a movie with me and we fell asleep in order to waste time until we had to return to the McKellan's house.
