As soon as the Elven Maiden asked me that question, I broke from my slight confusion and walked forward a bit more, examining her from a far a bit more carefully - just to ensure that I wasn't imagining her or she was just an illusion. The Elven Maiden kept her own gaze onto me as well as I moved around and examined her, before I stopped at the lakes water and exhaled lightly.
"I am not a threat - I have come here with no ill intentions towards you or anyone else who may be here."
I replied, lifting my arms into the air, to show that I had no weapons or anything. The Elf seemed a bit skeptical about my answer - Examining me from top to bottom before looking away and closing her eyes, mumbling something.
Afterwards, she exhaled before turning towards me with her legs, keeping them neatly together before whipping her hair to the back and then opening her eyes, looking towards me with a slightly more trusting expression.
<Elven Maiden>;
"I see. Well, I will take your word for it and hope that you are telling the truth."She stated before placing her right hand onto her chest, taking in a deep breath before exhaling, almost like she had just had a burden lifted off of her chest. Not quite sure on what to say, I simply nodded and lowered my arms back down.
Then, after a moment, I sharpened my gaze a bit.
"...You're Irrna, Cefrils lover - right?"
I asked.
The Elf looked at me with a surprised expression, almost like she hadn't expected me to know the name or even mention it.However she kept a calm demeanor before taking in a small breath and exhaling.
<Irrna>;
"That indeed correct - My name is Irrna. But, how do you know mine and my lovers names?"She asked, with a curious and even a slightly confused gaze. I remained silent for a bit, not exactly sure on how I should respond to the question. I learned of the names from the Wanderer after he brought us to the front of the labyrinth and to the two statues - one of Irrna and the other of Cefril.
I thought about how to tell her why I knew their names for a moment, before exhaling and looking at the elf.
"Well, outside the labyrinth your love story has become a legend which is told among humans and elves... You're sort like an inspiration to the future generations."
I explained, framing it in a way that I felt as though was the most accurate. I wouldn't be surprised if their story was told to this day among the young generations of Humans and Elves, after all, isn't that what I and everyone else did in my previous world?
We always shared stories of individuals, be their love stories or simply their life stories to teach the younger generations about them and what they managed to achieve and bring to the world. The Elf looked down a bit, seemingly sliding into her thoughts for a moment, before exhaling.
<Irrna>;
"I see... So our failed love story is still told. I guess that means that the war between Elves and Humans has been put to an end?""It has. A long time ago infact."
I replied immediately, standing still in one place while locking my eyes with her. Irrna smiled at my reply, before a small tear trickled down her right cheek, which she wiped off before looking up towards the sky.
<Irrna>;
"So the Divine Being did finally bring the endless war to an end..."She stated quietly to herself, before closing her eyes for a moment as the light breeze blew in her way. The wind strangely made her appear a lot like a heroine of a fairytale, not an actual individual that is alive and right here infront of me.
