As soon as I heard that statement leave his mouth, my confusion rose from 2 to an 11 in an instant. Cleanse me from this world? The hell was that supposed to mean? Yes, it referred to killing me, but why did he call it a 'cleanse' like I was some sort of Demonic entity with the intention of corrupting this entire world?
Before I could push out any questions towards the individual, he leapt at me with his sword and swung at me, attempting to slice me in half horizontally. I just barely managed to react in time, only being able to dodge successfully thanks to the use of 'Global Sense' which allowed me to detect the incoming strike quick enough to dodge. Even if it was just barely quick enough.
The supposed knights failed swing sent out a burst of air to the area behind me, pushing Wezrall, Irrna and Vien back a bit, while Linna and the two Primal Dragons remained unfased.
'Jesus— that was a close one-'
I thought, before quickly leaping out of the way, as the knight swung his second strike at me, only this time the slice came towards me in a vertical way, which made it lot easier to dodge.
Though, just like before, the swing released such a burst of wind that it managed to crack the ground where I had stood — even managing to create a bit of a crater in the ground. I shed a sweat, before spinning my Bo-Staff around and trying to retaliate with a quick strike towards the back of his head, however the Knight suddenly vanished out of sight.
My eyes widened, before he suddenly appeared behind me — bashing me from behind with a shield, which I had spotted on his back earlier. The bash sent me flying quite a bit forward, however did not do that much damage to me.
I also managed to recover from the unexpected strike quite fast, before looking towards the knight with a cold sweat. He was not playing games — he was here to just kill me and be done with it. Which also meant that I guess talking was out of the question, since I doubt he would listen to anything I would say to him anyway.
Wezrall was about to step up to aid me, however Arabor suddenly stopped him and then Vien with his abyss, before gesturing to them to remain in place and not move.
<Arabor>;
"Let it play out."He stated, before turning his gaze back over to the fight. The Knight got into a fighting ready position, holding his shield infront of him and his blade to the back, before dashing towards me.
I shed a slight sweat, however quickly leapt into the air and used 'Abyss Magic' to create some stepping stones for myself to get as high as I could. The Knight seemingly noticed my maneuver, before sharpening his gaze inside of his helmet. Afterwards, he swung his blade to the sky, above his head. For a moment or two, there was nothing, but then the blade suddenly began to glow a white colour, before white mist and lightning shot from it.
Then, The Knight spun the blade around, before stabbing it into the ground, causing the mist and lightning to absorb into the ground and create a large circle shaped area of a white glow. The glow stopped at around 10 or so meter radius from the Knights blade, before absorbing into a line of a circle.
Then, white flames rose from the line, before morphing into glass like walls, which stretched up rapidly to the sky, blocking off any escape and more shockingly — causing my 'Abyss Magic' platforms to vanish, sending me tumbling to the ground.
Luckily, I regained control and landed almost heroically on the ground, before looking at the Knight with a nervous stare as he rose back to his feet and turned to face me again. There was a faint white glow around his armour now, almost like some kind of buffing spell was on him.
