With the Knight standing across the room, a dense and powerful aura made of a condensed and strong miasma, I couldn't help but shed a sweat and back up a bit. 'Death Tyrant'.... I had heard about these guys a while back from Gidou in Ordial. He stated that Death Tyrants were one of the highest form of Undead Monsters there was.
They are known for their grand strength and practically unkillable nature — they are also known to have a powerful and large amount of miasma engulf them and make up their body. And here I was, face to face with one. Flin cackled before suddenly vanishing into a darkness, surprising me a bit as I watched him disappear, before looking around with a cold sweat.
"What the hell are you planning Flin? Or rather — What the hell have you done?!"
I shouted loudly, looking all around to try and spot the Void Lord. Flins laughter echoed through the building, before he appeared at the backend of the building, standing on top of a balcony, which was located right above the Knight.
<Flin>;
"Planning? Well, if you insist to know, I suppose I can tell you."Flin stated with almost like a teasing tone that you would usually hear from an overconfident bastard. Aka — Flin.
Afterwards, the Void Lord crossed his arms and then lowered his head slightly down.
<Flin>;
"You see, this whole plot and invasion of the Maze was a ruse. It was just a set up to get you into the labyrinth."Flin began his explanation, before snapping his fingers. In an instant the entire buildings damage was repaired before a strong and thick darkness engulfed the whole place from the outside, blocking off all exits to the building.
Looking around, I couldn't help but grit my teeth while also sweating — I had played straight into Flins dirty claws. He had me exactly where he wanted me to be. Irrna also began looking around nervously, backing up a bit with her arms tightly together, pressed against her chest.
Once the building was repaired and the darkness engulfed it, I finally manage to connect the dots.
"...You never intended to win that fight we had just now — right?"
I asked looking at Flin with a concerned yet serious expression. Flin was clearly amused under his mask, unable to hold back his cackle as he stepped onto the railing of the balcony and placed his arms behind his back.
Afterwards, he simply nodded lightly, without saying a word to my question in response. I had a slight feeling it was too easy to defeat him this time around... I had gotten so confident in my strength that I unknowingly underestimated Flin and failed to take into account any plans he may have.
In other words — The Void Lord had outsmarted me this time around.
<Flin>;
"I was not lying when I said I cannot beat you, because I can't. Your strength is far too great for me to challenge at this point in time — so when you finally arrived to the labyrinth, I knew it would only be a question of time until you found me. So, I decided to forge a plan."Flin continued his explanation, before lifting his right arm up and moving it towards his mask, grabbing a light hold of it and then proceeding to remove the mask from his face, revealing a charred up and scorched face underneath.
His skin was warped and he had spots where blood had obviously been at some point in time - with the spots looking like they were an open wound at one point or another.
Overall, his face looked horrific — That's the best way I could describe it simply. Irrna gasped lightly, before shivering.
<Irrna>;
"Wh...What happened to you..?"
