"Shower time!" Bailey exclaims as we get out shower bags ready to walk to the public showers. Its 7 in the evening and thats the time that people usually stay in their campsites so prefect time!

"Yes ma'am!" I exclaim and add my towel to my shower bag.

We spent all day in the ocean and my hair is begging for a wash.

We exit the campsite, walking on the concrete by the beach to get to the showers.

I choose shower 8 and Bailey chooses shower 1.

I grab my dollar bill and slip it into the machine and the water turns on. I speed run to get the perfect shower.

Its a dollar for three minutes so I dedicate the first dollar to washing my hair.

I keep my sandals on because ew.

I start washing and scrubbing the roots of my hair, my nails scratching my scalp by mistake.

"Leighton!" I hear Bailey exclaim, echoing through the showers.

"Yeah?!" I exclaim back.

"Do you have an extra dollar?" She yells and I groan.

"Bailey I'm not walking out of my shower to give you a dollar bill,"

"Ugh," She sighs. "Fine!"

6 minutes later and I'm done with my shower.

I struggle to get my pajama pants on without getting them wet.

"yes," I silently compliment myself.

I brush my hair and ring out the extra water.

I wrap it in a towel turban and dry the rest of the water as best as I can.

After, I place my towel and clothes in my shower bag.

I unlock the door and sit on a rock waiting for Bailey.

She comes skipping and smiling.

"Why are you so happy?" I smile.

"Becauuuseee," She smirks.

"Oh?" I'm so confused.

"Mhm,"

What?

Okay just go along with it.

"C'mon, the guys are probably wondering where we are."

"Yup,"

Bailey and I walk back from the showers, our flip-flops slapping against the sandy path.

"That was refreshing," Bailey says, running a hand through her damp hair. "I love the smell of the ocean in the evening."
