"I can't believe you actually came!" I exclaim as the waitress brings us our food.
She gives Kai a look to which Kai ignores.
I wonder why, she seems nice!
I stare at Kai.
His blue eyes, his eyebrow slit, the way his hair falls in his face, his eyelashes.
He's so pretty it hurts my heart.
He groans. "Leighton, stop."
"What?" I ask genuinely.
"Stop. Just stop."
"I'm sorry," I bite my lip.
"Leighton," He groans again.
"I don't know what I'm doing!" I exclaim.
"Fuck," He mutters.
We eat in silence, Kai's eyes on me.
"Why are you staring at me," I ask.
"Stop." He mutters.
As we leave the restaurant, Kai suddenly grabs my wrist, pulling me towards a narrow alley beside the building.
My heart skips a beat, a mix of confusion and curiosity swirling in my chest.
What the-
"Kai, what are you—" My words are cut off as he pushes me against the brick wall, his body pressing close to mine.
Before I ask him what he's doing I say, "Kiss me."
Where the heck did that come from?
I don't want him to kiss me.
Who am I kidding, yes I do
His lips meet my neck instead of my lips.
A light gasp escapes my lips as his mouth moves with a surprising urgency. "Kai..." I manage to breathe out, my hands instinctively clutching his shoulders.
"You drive me insane, Leighton," he mutters against my skin, his voice rough.
I should push him away, tell him off, but the feel of his lips on my neck sends shivers down my spine.
He groans.
Holy mumma.
His confession sends a thrill through me, and I arch my neck, giving him better access. "This... doesn't...mean...I like you," I say, my voice trembling slightly.
