"Taylor Swift!" I was gobsmacked that I was looking at Taylor Swift.

She smiled, "hey, you looked so sad and cold out there. Where to?"

I started to tell her our address, before Maisie cut in.

"No no! I don't wanna go back."

"Mais we have to go home."

She started to cry so I pulled her into my arms, Theo was staring out the window.

"Sorry." I looked back at Taylor.

"Take your time don't worry." She paused, "what happened to your neck?"

I sighed, "long story." I said trying to calm Maisie down.

"Can I?" She held her arms out for Maisie, who reluctantly accepted the swap. I watched as Taylor rubbed her back softly, while whispering sweet nothings into her ear.

"Thank you." I smiled gratefully.

She smiled, nodding at me.

"Can I ask is your neck the reason she doesn't want to go home?" Taylor looked at me with a sad look in her eyes.

I nodded slowly, I couldn't lie to Taylor Swift. Theo began to speak up, "our mommy and daddy don't like us much."

"Theo." I warned him.

Taylor looked up at me, "I look after them, we're okay." I tried to get us out of this mess.

"Why don't we go back to mine? Get you lot dried and then we can go from there?"

"No you can't do anything, they'll split us up. I've done everything for them to live better than me, please." I begged.

"Hey it's okay, I never said anything about that okay?" Taylor reassured. I nodded, wrapping my arms around Theo. I noticed Maisie had fallen asleep on Taylor's lap.

We arrived at Taylor's mansion. It was huge. I carried Theo in as Taylor had Maisie. Taylor ran the bath for Maisie and Theo.

"I don't want to over step, I'll let you guys do your thing." She smiled.

"You can help if you want to?" I smiled at her, "they'll not mind, it'll show them people do care."

She smiled, "alright."

We got them bathed and wrapped them in towels, I was just glad it wasn't just me tonight. As bad as that sounds. They both fell asleep on Taylor's spare bed.

"They're very cute." Taylor smiled.

"They can be." I returned the smile.

"Why don't you go and shower? I'll keep an eye out on them." Taylor laid back on the other side of the bed.

"Thanks." I replied, grabbing a towel she had set out for me.

"I'll get you some of my sweats for after."

I nodded, making my way back to the bathroom. Once I was done, I got changed into the clothes Taylor had set out for me. I walked into the bedroom, seeing Taylor finishing Maisie's hair- one braid down the middle.

She looked up, "sorry."

"No it's okay, it's really pretty. She'll love it." I mumbled.

"Do you want me to do yours?"

"You don't have to." I looked into her blue eyes, knowing ugly grey eyes were staring back at her.

"Come here." She patted the bed in front of her.

I did what I was told and sat, feeling her massage my head before starting to braid it.

"How bad is it at home?" Taylor broke the silence.

I shrugged, "I get it worse, I take the hit for them. We re used to it."

"Oh sweetheart," she started to speak.

"No I don't need your pity. I've got this. I've raised them and we're fine." I gritted my teeth.

She turned me to face her, "I'm not pitying you. I just want to help, you seem so strong."

I realised I hadn't even told her my name, "Havyn."

"Havyn." She smiled, "Havyn, Theo and Maisie?"

I nodded.

"I don't want to split you up and I'm not sending you back to that house." Taylor started.

"How?" Tears pricked at my eyes. I noticed Maisie had her thumb in her mouth, I went over to her backpack to grab her stuffy. I replaced her teddy bear for her thumb.

"I'm not sure yet," Taylor said watching me, "you're really good with them, how old are you?"

"It was her 13th birthday yesterday." A sleepily Theo, crawled over to me.

"Hey bud." I ruffled his hair, wrapping him into a hug.

"You're 13?" Taylor looked shocked.

I nodded, "I know I don't look it."

I was so underweight for my age I looked about nine years old, but my maturity was definitely past twenty. I had to grow up for these two.

"We really should get going, thank you for all of this." I tried to make our get out, Taylor was lovely don't get me wrong but I have everything under control. If our parents ever found out about this, we were dead.

"You're more than welcome to stay." Taylor insisted.

"No honestly, it's okay." I gave her my bravest smile. Taylor couldn't hold us against our will, that would be kidnapping. She just nodded sadly and got her driver ready to take us home.

"Just drop us round the corner, please." I smiled and thanked Taylor. Maisie and Theo followed my actions as well.

"Call me if you need anything. My number is in your phone." She smiled sadly at me.

I nodded, "thanks."

I knew I would never call her, I'd never be a nuisance to someone like that.

Taylor's pov
————

Havyn looked the spitting image of me when I was a kid. I couldn't help but think she was the daughter I had given away when I was 21 years old. My career had just begun and I couldn't be a mother, not a day went by without me thinking of her though.

I drove away, watching as she struggled carrying the bags and little Maisie inside. I knew I had to help them, I just didn't know how.

"You okay, Miss?" My driver snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah, those kids though." I shook my head in defeat.

He gave me a small smile before continuing to drive me home. I had much more important things to think about, like my upcoming tour and album preparations. But something in my gut was telling me that those kids needed me more...
