Havyns pov
————Travis seemed alright, he was definitely nervous about spending alone time with us. I knew Theo and Maisie would keep his attention on them, I wasn't too worried. We said our goodbyes to Taylor, wishing her luck for the show. Her manager, Tree, had shouted at her a minute before about her being behind schedule so we were heading towards the vip tent very quickly.
However, Taylor grabbed my hand and nodded at Travis to take the other two to the vip tent without me. I was confused, it's not like I could go onto the stage with her. She waited until Theo and Maisie were out of ear reach, turning her full attention onto me.
"I need your permission for something," she started, looking slightly anxious, "I want to announce to the crowd that I've got the three of you, but I'll only do it when you're ready."
She paused, I wasn't sure if she was waiting on my response or not.
"Havie, I love all three of you more than words can describe. I want them to know that as well." She continued, trying to find the right words to not pressure me to say yes but to show me it was a good thing.
I nodded, "that's okay."
I saw the stress practically release from her face, being replaced by excitement. She wrapped her arms around me tightly, "thank you, sweet girl."
I smiled, squeezing her back. As much as I was terrified to admit it, I loved Taylor being our mom. I loved Taylor. She was everything we needed in our lives and more. She saved us from our worst nightmare, she turned our dark and twisted life into a light and bubbly one. There is no reason for us to be afraid.
"Will you be okay walking to vip alone?" She had a concerned look in her eyes.
I nodded, "see you after."
She smiled, heading towards the stage. I turned to make my way out to the vip tent, I found Travis waiting at the door.
"Hey, I didn't want you walking alone, the fans can get out of hand sometimes." He smiled.
"Thanks." I followed him towards the tent. I saw Maisie in Andrea's arms, pointing to the lights and other random things. Her mind really baffles me sometimes, the way she can just make up any little scenarios amazes me. Theo was sitting in a chair beside them, his eyes lit up when he saw Travis and I. I couldn't believe how much he loved Travis already. I genuinely thought he'd have a meltdown over getting to trust a new person, especially a guy.
It was just me who couldn't trust yet.We reached them in the tent and Theo immediately stood next to Travis, happily watching the support act. I felt a bit out of place for a moment with everything going on, but Travis put his hand on my back to catch my attention. The initial contact made me jump slightly, my body was still getting use to the understanding that physical touch can also be a comfort thing not just pain.
"Sorry, Havyn," Travis looked nervous like I was that fragile.
"It's okay." I gave him a small smile, noticing Theo was talking to Andrea and Maisie. Leaving me alone with Travis.
"I just.. Tay really loves you, all of you, and I just want to get to know you," he paused, "I know it'll take time with the circumstances, but I am here for the long haul." He had a reassuring tone to his voice, which I liked. It made me feel like he was similar to Taylor, making us feel welcome and comfortable.
I smiled, "I'd like that too."
He looked over the moon to hear me say that, his eyes lit up just like Theo's did earlier. Taylor told me that he was a big kid and heart, which made me giggle.
