Today was the day.
Taylor had taken a break from her tour as she needed her whole mindset focused on her family. We all needed time together.

Taylor had bought me a new dress. It was black and smart looking but elegant and beautiful. I put it on, standing in front of my mirror. I noticed the weight gain I had put on recently, knowing it was a healthy thing and that everyone would be proud. Part of me, felt a little disappointed. Missing my old body, the unhealthy version of me as twisted as it sounded.

There was a knock at the door, Taylor walked in and stood stunned.

"Havie, you look gorgeous." She walked over behind me, "you look so healthy as well. I'm so proud of you."

I smiled, trying not to tear up. Today was about my siblings.

"I have this for you," she was holding a necklace, "my mom got it for my thirteenth birthday and since I found you when you were thirteen I thought you should have it."

She held it up to put it on for me as I moved my hair to allow her to do so. I touched the silver string around my neck in awe. It was a beautiful delicate silver chain with a small heart on it, saying Tiffany and co. Taylor Swift just gave me a Tiffany necklace as a family heritage gift.

"I love it." I whispered, staring at it. She kissed my cheek, pulling me into a hug. Knowing we both need support and reassurance today of all days.

"Mommy!" Maisie's cries filled the house as I ran to her room.

"Mais?"

"Mom!" I crouched down to her height, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear.

"It's okay, can you tell me what's upset you?"

"I don't wanna wear a dress." She managed through her tears.

"That's okay baby, you don't have to." I smiled as she clung onto me. I helped her pick out some new clothes for today, still making her look smart for court. I held onto her for a moment, letting her take in the change of plans.

She sat on my lap with her head in my chest, sniffling softly. I stroked her hair holding her close.

"Mom?" She looked up at me with her big brown eyes.

"Yes sweetheart?"

"I don't want to lose you as my mom."

Those words broke me. We had to tell Theo and Maisie last night about the situation because they had to be present.

"I don't want to lose you either, sweet girl." I whispered into her brown hair, kissing the top of her head.

Travis and Theo were waiting downstairs, ready before everyone else was. They were sitting watching tv, ignoring the rest of the chaos. I set Maisie down next to Travis, before checking on Havyn.

"Haves? You ready?"

"Yeah coming." She opened her door with a small smile placed on her lips as she nervously played with the necklace I had just given her. I smiled at her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders making our way downstairs.

Everyone was sat in the living room. I knew we needed a family pep talk as cringey as that sounded.

"You guys, today's a really important day. We need best behaviours in the court room, okay?" I warned them to start off, "whatever happens today, we love you so much and will continue to fight for you after this if it doesn't go our way."

"Taylor's right, you're our children. We're a family and we're going to get through this." Travis added on, standing beside me with one arm around my waist. I looked at Havyn who had tears in her eyes. She was watching her siblings try to comprehend this information, they were so little. Theo came running towards me with his little arms stretched out. I scooped him up onto my hip, kissing his nose.

"We should go." Travis spoke as he picked Maisie up. I nodded, taking Havyns hand and giving it a gentle squeeze of reassurance.

I could tell everyone was on high alert today, everyone was anxious and nervous and everyone was snappy because of it. I'd managed to get everyone ready, including Travis, and out into the car.

I sat in between Travis and Havyn as we made our way to the court. Travis placed his hand on my thigh, stroking his thumb slowly. I leant against him, placing my head on his shoulder. He knew how worried I was about all of this. He knew I blamed myself and my job for it as well. I'm so glad I have him here with us.

The car ride there felt like a lifetime, the silence we were surrounded in was sickly. It was a silence of sadness and worry. My heart was in my throat, I felt sick. I felt Havyn squeeze my hand gently.

I smiled at her, trying to reassure her. It wasn't working. How can someone reassure if they can't even be reassured themselves?

The car came to a stop and my heart was thumping abnormally loud. My mind was racing as Travis held his hand out for me to get out of the car, I caught his eye and knew I needed to wise up. If the court saw me as nervous, we didn't stand a chance.

I grabbed his hand and got out beside him, the cameras were flashing all around us. We both carried a child each while making sure Havyn was walking in between us away from the cameras. Travis had his arm around her protectively and I knew this would be brought up in the court.

I took a deep breath as I squeezed Maisie closer to me, before we walked into the building in front of us...
