Havyns pov
————Taylor warned me that her boyfriend, Travis, was coming back in two days. Just in time for her next shows. I internally panicked, hoping that he would understand the way that we are like Taylor does. I wondered how Maisie and Theo would take to a new person, knowing myself was just struggling with the idea. It took me ages to accept Taylor's kindness and trust, Travis was a whole new person.
"Do you think Travis will play princesses with me? Like Taylor does?" Maisie asked without lifting her head from her toys.
"He definitely will." Taylor smiled, walking in and sitting next to her on the floor, they started playing together. I noticed Theo was sitting reading on a beanbag in the corner by himself. He looked nervous but cozy at the same time, I wondered if he was thinking about Travis.
"Hey bud," I sat next to him on the floor, fiddling with a lego piece, "what's up?"
He shrugged, staring at his book.
"Thee, talk to me please." I put my hand on his foot to get his attention.
"What if Travis changes Taylor's mind about us?" He explained quietly to me, I looked over at Taylor and Maisie. Who were deeply engrossed in their imaginary game.
"That'll never happen, bud. Taylor's already too far through the adoption process," I answered, "plus he's going to love you, you like football right?"
He nodded excitedly, "that's what Travis does all the time, he's a player."
Theo beamed, "really? So he'll play with me!"
"You bet." I didn't know the man, but I knew I had to reassure Theo.
We were meeting Travis just before Taylor's next concert, probably spending the entire show with him as well. I knew I had to be the strong one out of the three of us but meeting and trusting someone new terrified me. I had two days to prepare.
The fear that consumed me, made it difficult for me to eat. I struggled anyway as we know but we the added stress of this, exaggerated the struggle.
"Haves," Taylor sighed looking at my plate, I had been doing so well recently with eating, "what else would you like?"
I just sighed, forcing my toast into me. That wasn't really what Taylor wanted me to do either. Force feeding is not exactly healthy.
Taylor looked exhausted, Maisie was clinging from her leg and Theo was babbling about trucks to her. And I was having a setback in my recovery. I felt bad for her. I decided to help with cleaning the dishes. I didn't want Travis to arrive, thinking we've broken and exhausted Taylor.

The next two days were consuming with fear, anxiety and curiosity. I ate little amounts but taylor said it was still good progress as I was attempting to eat something. She was so understanding and supportive with all of us, she knew our weaknesses and she knew how to support us through them.
The other day Theo was having a meltdown about his new school that Taylor has enrolled us into as he was scared of the new people it brought with it. Taylor reassured him so easily, making sure he was excited for the new move.
"But what if they're meanies!" Theo complained, I could see the terror in his eyes.
Taylor crouched down to his level, "you've got this, bud. Of course they'll be people who don't understand you, but you're not the opinion of someone who doesn't know you, okay?"
He nodded, trying to understand what she was saying.
"But there will be so many other kids like you, who just want some kind friends." She smiled, "finding your crowd isn't always easy but once you get out there and try, you'll never look back."
