It's been a few weeks since the whole roof incident with Johnnie. And Carrington was feeling a weight on his shoulders, he didn't like hiding this away from Jake.

Jake obviously has no idea, and is smiling and laughing with Johnnie like usual.

Carrington watched the two, feeling his heart ache a bit. He knew he couldn't keep this from Jake forever, but he was scared of how he'd react.

After all, Jake was his best friend. But then again, what if he took it the wrong way? What if he thought Carrington was lying?

"Alright, I'm gonna go play some video games in my room." Johnnie says, laughing. "That joke was fuckin' funny though.

Jake grins. "Alright, see you later man."

Johnnie heads upstairs.

Carrington watched as Johnnie went upstairs, a pang of guilt in his chest. He looked at Jake, who was still smiling.

"Can I talk to you for a second?" Carrington asked, his voice low.

Jake turns his head. "Sure man, what's up?" He asked Carrington. Bouncing his leg as he tilts his head.

Carrington took a deep breath, trying to gather his thoughts. "It's about Johnnie," he said, his voice still quiet. "I have something I need to tell you."

Jake lifts his head up. He furrowed his eyebrows, his expression turned confused. "What about him?"

Carrington looked up at Jake, his eyes full of guilt. "I didn't want to keep this from you, but I was scared of how you'd react," he said. "Johnnie tried to... jump off the roof a few weeks ago. I was the one who stopped him."

Jake's face paled. His eyes widen. His mouth dropped. He was shocked to hear this. A wave of worry and concern on his face. "What."

Carrington nodded, his heart racing. "I found him on the roof. He was standing on the ledge, and he was about to jump," he explained. "but I convinced him to come down."

Jake springs up from the couch. "What the fuck?! You didn't tell me sooner?" He raised his voice as he stared to head up the stairs. "Johnnie!"

Carrington winced at Jake's tone. "I know, I know. I'm sorry," he said, following Jake up the stairs. "I didn't want to worry you, but I couldn't keep this a secret anymore."

Jake heads up the stairs. Towards Johnnie room, he came in without knocking. Johnnie took off his headphones, noticing Jake's worried expression. "What's up, dude..?"

Jake went over and hugged Johnnie tightly. "You... you didn't tell me?"

Johnnie looked taken aback by the sudden hug, but he hugged Jake back. "I didn't want to worry you," he said, his voice soft. "I'm fine, really."
