For the past few months, Johnnie hasn't been showing interest in food. And if he did eat, it was something small such as a lunchable or a small bag of chips.
Carrington was concerned. Very concerned.
He had noticed that Johnnie had lost weight, his face looking slightly gaunt and his cheekbones prominent. It was hard not to notice, especially when he looked at Johnnie.
He had confronted him about it, of course. But Johnnie had just brushed it off, saying that he was just trying to watch his weight.
Carrington didn't believe him for a second.
At the moment, Johnnie was in his room. Oversleeping as usual, distracting himself from the ongoing pain of emotional exhaustion.
Carrington walked down the hallway to Johnnie's room, his footsteps quiet as he approached the door. He could hear faint sounds of movement from inside, but it was clear that Johnnie was still asleep.
Carrington knocked softly on the door, not wanting to startle him. "Johnnie?" he called out, his voice gentle. "Are you awake?"
Johnnie opened his eyes to the sound of the door knocking. He groaned as he rolled over, trying to ignore it.
Carrington could hear the groan and knew that Johnnie was awake. He knocked again, a little louder this time.
"Johnnie, I know you're awake," he said, his voice firmer now. "Can I come in?
Johnnie sits up. Knowing Carrington wouldn't give up that easily. He pushed the blankets off and walked over. He opened the door, shirtless.
It was visibly obvious he was losing weight.
Carrington's eyes widened as he saw Johnnie standing in front of him, shirtless. He couldn't help but notice how much weight he had lost.
"What?" Johnnie asked, "I was asleep." He replied, avoiding Carrington's concern.
Carrington raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced."You were asleep? You look like you haven't eaten in days," he said, crossing his arms over his chest. "Have you even been eating at all?"
"Yeah, a lil. Just not hungry. What do you want? I was sleeping." Johnnie responded.
Carrington sighed, knowing that Johnnie was being stubborn."I want to talk about your eating habits," he said firmly. "You're losing weight, Johnnie. You can't keep skipping meals like this."
Johnnie didn't say anything. He just closed the door, right on Carrington.
Carrington was taken aback by Johnnie's action, but he wasn't about to give up that easily. He pushed the door open again, stepping into the room.
"Don't shut me out, Johnnie," he said, his voice a mixture of frustration and concern. "We need to talk about this. You can't just ignore your health."
Johnnie crawled back into his bed, pulling the blanket over. "I'm going to bed, I'm tired."
Carrington sighed again, feeling helpless. He knew that Johnnie was avoiding the conversation, but he didn't want to leave things like this.
He walked over to the bed and sat down on the edge, placing a hand on Johnnie's shoulder."Please, just talk to me," he said softly. "I'm worried about you."
Johnnie was just staring at his wall. A sleepy and depressed gaze in his blue eyes.
Carrington's heart ached as he looked at Johnnie's face. He could see the exhaustion and sadness in his eyes, and it broke his heart.
