Johnnie sat at his desk, tapping his pencil as is looking at his worksheet on his desk. Trying to comprehend the material but his dyslexia wont let him.

Suddenly he lifted his head when he saw the familiar popular, jock, - Carrington.

He sighed softly, avoiding the jock's gaze. The emo didn't want anything to do with him.

But he couldn't help but steal a few glances once in a while.

Carrington noticed the glances, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. He found it cute that the emo boy was stealing glances at him. He decided to have a little fun.

He walked over to Johnnie's desk and leaned against it, crossing his arms. "Whatcha working on, emo boy?"

"What the fuck do you want?" Johnnie grumbled as he flipped his page over. Looking up at Carrington with his emo makeup eyes.

Carrington chuckled at Johnnie's grumpy response. "Whoa, someone's in a bad mood. Can't a guy just come over and say hi?" He leaned in a bit closer, his smirk growing wider.

Chase suddenly came into class, "Yo bro!" He called, "You ready for the party this friday?!"

Carrington's attention shifted from Johnnie to Chase, his eyes lighting up. "Hell yeah, I'm ready! Can't wait to see all the hotties there," he said, a mischievous glint in his eye.

Johnnie groaned as he flopped his head onto his desk. A mop of emo hair is all that is showing.

Chase called out, "Hey, Johnnie is it!? maybe you should come so you can be the main punching bag!"

The entire class laughed.

Carrington snickered along with the class, finding the situation amusing. "Yeah, Johnnie, you should definitely come. We need someone to make things interesting," he teased, nudging Johnnie's arm with his foot.

Johnnie lifted his head and pushed Carrington's leg away. He rolled his eyes, trying to hold tears back.

Chase called out, "Yo Carrington! Why are you near that guy anyway? He's gonna give you the emo disease!!"

Carrington laughed again, finding Chase's comment hilarious. "Nah, I think I'll be fine. Besides, I like a little bit of darkness in my life," he said with a smirk, glancing down at Johnnie.

Johnnie didn't get what Carrington meant, but he just rolled his eyes. Chase called out, "Hey, Johnnie! you should probably just not come to the party, you know - you'll just make everyone fucking depressed there."

"Wasn't planning on it," Johnnie grumbled.

Carrington couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy for Johnnie. He knew the emo boy didn't deserve all the teasing and insults.

He leaned down closer to Johnnie and whispered, "Don't listen to them, dude. They're just being assholes."

"Fuck off," Johnnie didn't believe Carrington as he shoved the jock's head.

Carrington stumbled back a bit, rubbing his head where Johnnie shoved him. He was taken aback by the sudden outburst but he wasn't angry. Instead, he felt a sense of curiosity towards the emo boy.

He watched as Johnnie went back to working on his homework, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

Chase called, "Yo Carrington cmere for a sec!"
