Ashwin's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of his phone buzzing. He looked down to see a call from Sivaangi, his love. He smiled, feeling a sudden rush of happiness. He answered the call, and Sivaangi's sweet voice filled his ears."Hey, Ashwin? Can you come to pick me up?" she asked, her tone playful.
Ashwin smiled, remembering that she had called him earlier from work. "Already? I thought your shift was supposed to end later?"
"I got done early, so I thought I'd call you. Plus, I missed you," she said, her voice playful.
Ashwin's smile widened at her comment. He loved it when she said things like that.
"Okay, I'll be there in 10 minutes," he said, getting up from the bed.
"See you soon," she replied, hanging up the phone.
Ashwin made his way to the door, feeling little happy after a emotional turmoil.
Ashwin arrived at Sivaangi's workplace and looked around for Vikram, expecting him to appear out of nowhere, but he was nowhere to be found. He shrugged it off, thinking maybe Vikram was busy planning something else.
At distance he saw Sivaangi waiting for him, looking beautiful in her work attire. She smiled as she saw him, and Ashwin's heart melted at her smile.
"Hey, how was your day?" she asked, as they walked out of the building together.
Ashwin pushed aside the thoughts of Vikram and focused on Sivaangi's question. "It was okay and I have some good news!" he said, trying to sound excited.
Sivaangi looked at him curiously. "What is it?"
"We're going to your brother's native place for a week! He's invited all of us to celebrate Thiruvizha," Ashwin said, trying to contain his enthusiasm.
Sivaangi's face lit up. "That sounds like so much fun! I've never been to a Thiruvizha celebration before."
Ashwin nodded. "Yeah, it'll be so good. And we get to spend a week together, just relaxing and enjoying each other's company."
Sivaangi smiled, squeezing his hand. "I'm so excited Ashwin. When do we leave?"
Ashwin smiled, feeling happy to see her so excited. "We leave tomorrow. I've already packed our bags, and Pugazh has arranged for our transportation."
Sivaangi's eyes widened in surprise. "Tomorrow? That's so soon! But I'm ready."
Ashwin chuckled. "I know, You will be happy to spend some time away from here."
As they walked to the car, Ashwin suddenly remembered something. "Also, we need to buy some new clothes. For us, and also for Moni and Akash."
Sivaangi nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, that's a great idea! Moni will love the new clothes, and Akash needs some new outfits too."
Ashwin remembered something else. "Also, we have to pick up Akash from school. His classes should be over by now."
Sivaangi smiled inwardly. She felt something inside her when he behaved all responsible like this. " After picking him, I was thinking to go shopping and get everything we need."
Sivaangi nodded her head, as they sat in the car. Sivaangi held his hand and asked, "Hey, What's wrong? You seem a little distracted. Is everything okay?"
Ashwin hesitated, But Sivaangi's concerned expression made him open up a little. "I was just thinking about some old friends, that's all. It's nothing important."
Sivaangi squeezed his hand reassuringly. "If you ever want to talk about it, I'm here for you, Ashwin."
Ashwin smiled, feeling grateful for her support. "Thanks, Sweetheart. That means a lot to me." He said and took her hand and kissed her palm.
