Ashwin stood there hearing what Pugazh said, "Sivaangi didn't board the flight. Dharshan called her just now. She attended the call, but he said he heard waves sound in the back. I think she's somewhere near the beach."
Ashwin mind clicked into something, he cut the call and rushed into the airport, his heart racing with anticipation.
He approached the same attendant and asked, "Excuse me, can you check if a passengers named Sivaangi and Akash boarded the flight to Bangalore?"
The attendant checked the system and replied, "Let me check... Ah, yes! They were scheduled to board the flight, but it seems they didn't board it after all."
Ashwin's eyes widened in surprise. "What do you mean they didn't board it? Were they at the airport?"
The attendant nodded. "Yes, they were here. They both checked in and everything, but they didn't board the flight. It's strange."
Ashwin's mind was racing. He thought back to Pugazh's words - "Dharshan called her, but he heard waves sound in the back." He asked the attendant, "Is there a beach near the airport?"
The attendant nodded. "Yes, there's a beach just a few minutes' drive from here."
Ashwin's heart skipped a beat. He felt a surge of hope. He thanked the attendant and rushed out of the airport, determined to find them.
He came out the airport and got into the bike. Then, rode his bike towards the beach, the rain pounding against his face.
When he reached the beach and got down from the bike. Then started searching the beach frantically, his eyes scanning the shore for any sign of Sivaangi. But as he walked, the rain seemed to grow heavier, and his hopes began to lessen. He called out her name, but only the sound of the waves replied.
Just when he thought he had lost all hope, he eyes spotted a figure in the distance - Akash, his little hope just playing in the rain, laughing and spinning around. And beside him, a tiny figure, bundled in a hooded jacket. Ashwin's heart skipped a beat as he realized it was Sivaangi.
His eyes welled up with tears as he slowly walked towards them, his voice barely above a whisper. "Sivaangi..."
Akash, who saw Ashwin first, ran towards him, arms open wide, and hugged his leg tightly. "Ashwin!"
Sivaangi slowly turned around, her face pale, her eyes red from crying. She stood up silently, her eyes fixed on Ashwin, her expression unreadable.
Ashwin's heart ached as he looked at her, his mind filled with regret and longing. He took a step closer, his hands reaching out to her, his voice cracking with emotion.
Just as he took another step closer to Sivaangi, he heard the sound of bike pulling up behind him. He turned to see Dharshan and Pugazh getting off their bikes, their faces filled with concern.
Pugazh rushed towards Akash, who was still clinging to Ashwin's leg, and gently pulled him away. "Akash come, let's go get some chocolate for you, okay?" Akash nodded, still looking up at Ashwin, and walked away with Pugazh, leaving Ashwin and Sivaangi alone.
Dharshan stood back, watching the scene unfold, his eyes filled with a mix of emotions. He nodded at Ashwin and then followed Pugazh and Akash, giving the couple some privacy.
The raindrops fell drumming against their skin, sending shivers down their spines. Sivaangi's hair, clung to her face, framing her pale cheeks. Ashwin's eyes, bloodshot from tears and lack of sleep, still sparkled with a deep longing, his gaze never wavering from hers.
The waves, like a chorus of mournful sighs, echoed through the air, for their silent reunion. The rain-soaked air was heavy with emotion, the weight of their unspoken words hanging like a challenge between them.
