Before she could answer,Sivaangi's phone rang, she excused herself to answer it, her eyes locked on Ashwin's for a brief moment before she turned away.
"Indha neram pathudhan phone varanuma. He sulked and twisted his lips.
But as she spoke, her voice faltered, and her body began to sway. Ashwin's eyes widened in concern as Sivaangi stumbled, her hand reaching out for support. He rushed to her side, catching her elbow, and steadying her.
But Sivaangi's eyes had glazed over, her pupils dilating as she gazed into the distance. Her breathing quickened, and her body began to tremble. Ashwin's grip on her elbow tightened as he tried to hold her upright, but she seemed to be collapsing in on herself.
"Maaa , enna achu , are you okay, his voice filled with concern.
Suddenly, Sivaangi's hands flew to her head, her fingers digging into her scalp as if trying to claw away the memories. She started shaking her head violently, her eyes screwed shut, and a low, anguished moan escaped her lips. Ashwin was shell-shocked, unsure of what was happening or how to help.
"Sivaangi, sivaangi ma"he called her name gently but no use.
For sivaangi, The room seemed to fade away, and Sivaangi was transported back to a dark, painful past. Flashes of memories assaulted her, each one a fresh blow to her soul. She felt like she was drowning, unable to escape the torment that had haunted her for so long.
Ashwin's voice was a distant echo, a gentle murmur trying to penetrate the chaos in her mind. But Sivaangi was trapped, unable to respond, unable to escape the prison of her own memories. All she could do was hold on to Ashwin, her fingers grasping his arm like a lifeline, as she weathered the storm that threatened to consume her.
"Don't leave me , please , don't leave me " that's the only thing ashwin heard from sivaangi through her cries.
"I won't , i won't , Don't worry , I am here with you. I am not going anywhere". He assured her while holding her tightly as if she could melt if he left her.
Ashwin's calm and gentle demeanor helped to slowly bring Sivaangi back to the present. He guided her to a nearby chair, and she collapsed into it, her body still shaking. Ashwin knelt beside her, his eyes filled with concern, and his voice soft and soothing.
"Sivaangi, I'm here for you. You're safe now. Whatever it is, we'll face it together." He offered her a warm smile, and his words were like a balm to her soul.
Sivaangi's grip on his arm relaxed, and she looked up at him, her eyes filled with tears. "I...I don't know what happened," she stammered.
"It just...it just came back." Ashwin's expression was understanding, and he nodded gently. "You don't have to explain, Sivaangi. Just know that I'm here, and I care." He offered her a handkerchief, and she took it, wiping away her tears.
As they sat there in silence, Ashwin's presence was a beacon of comfort and strength for Sivaangi. She felt a sense of security with him that she couldn't explain, and it was as if he had wrapped a warm blanket around her shattered soul. Slowly, her breathing calmed, and her heart stopped racing.
She looked up at Ashwin, and their eyes met, his filled with kindness and understanding. In that moment, Sivaangi felt a connection with him that went beyond words.
Suddenly, out of moment Sivaangi's arms encircled Ashwin's waist, her hug tentative at first, but gradually tightening as she allowed herself to surrender to the comfort he offered. Ashwin, sensing her vulnerability, wrapped his arms around her, holding her close as he softly stroked her hair. For a moment, they stood there, the world around them melting away, leaving only the warmth of their embrace.
