Vikram and Sivaangi sat in silence, the only sound the ticking of the clock on the wall. The tension in the air was palpable, and Sivaangi's heart raced with anticipation. Within a few minutes, they heard the sound of a car pulling up outside. Sivaangi's heart palpitated as she peeked her head out the window and saw Ashwin getting out of the car. He looked devastated, his face gaunt and sweaty, his shirt crumpled and disheveled. He looked void, like he had lost his last shred of hope.

Sivaangi's eyes teared up as she watched Ashwin enter the house, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on her and Vikram. He strode directly towards Vikram, his face twisted in anger, and grabbed his shirt.

"What did you do to her?" Ashwin demanded, his voice low and menacing. "What did you tell her?"

Vikram's face remained calm, but his eyes flashed with anger.

"Let go of me, Ashwin," he spat. "You have no right to be angry. You're the one who's been hiding the truth."

Sivaangi shouted, trying to intervene.

"Ashwin, stop it! Just stop it!"

But Ashwin didn't listen. He continued to glare at Vikram, his eyes blazing with fury.

Vikram held Ashwin's collar, his eyes flashing with anger, as the two men stood glaring at each other. Sivaangi intervened, her voice firm but calm.

"Ashwin, move away. Leave Vikram alone. Don't even try to hurt him."

Ashwin's world stopped at her words. He looked at Sivaangi with hurt, his eyes searching for answers.

Sivaangi took a deep breath and came directly to the point.

"Who are you, Ashwin?" She asked.

Ashwin remained silent at her question while she continued.

"Who is your family? What did you hide from me? Why did you lie to me? Why?"

Ashwin stood shocked, his eyes darting to Vikram with an accusatory gaze, as if to say "You told her, didn't you?"

Vikram's expression remained neutral, but his eyes seemed to say "I warned you, Ashwin. I told you she would find out."

Ashwin's gaze returned to Sivaangi, his eyes filled with a mix of pain and fear. He seemed to be searching for words, but none came. He was frozen, unable to respond to Sivaangi's barrage of questions.

The silence in the room was deafening, punctuated only by the sound of Sivaangi's ragged breathing. She waited for Ashwin's response, her eyes boring into his, demanding the truth.

Ashwin took a step closer to Sivaangi, his hand reaching out to touch her, but she moved away, her eyes cast down.

"I just need answers, Ashwin. Nothing more, nothing less," she said, her voice firm but laced with hurt.

Ashwin stood there, unsure of how to respond. He took a deep breath and tried to explain.

"Sivaangi, you should know why I did it."

He gulped his saliva and continued,

"I didn't want you to know that I'm a rich person, Sivaangi. You once told me that you never liked wealthy people. At first, I was petty and hid it because I was afraid that you wouldn't like me if you knew. But as time went on, every time I tried to tell you, I was scared that you would leave me."

Sivaangi's gaze remained downcast, her expression unreadable.

"I was afraid of losing you, Sivaangi. I didn't mean to hurt you or lie to you. I just wanted to keep you in my life."
