Ashwin pushed open the door to Sivaangi's room and was met with a sight that made his heart skip a beat. Sivaangi was lying on her bed, her body wracked with coughs and sneezes. Her eyes were red and puffy, and her skin looked pale and clammy. He thanked the god for a moment.

"Sweetheart , what happened, you look so pale?" Ashwin asked, rushing to her side.

Sivaangi ignored his question. "Ashwin! What are you doing here ? You should be in the meeting, don't you? " She asked looking at his formal clothes.

Ashwin's face twisted in concern as he sat down beside Sivaangi. "Meeting? Who cares about the meeting? I was worried sick about you. You didn't answer my calls. Where is your phone ?"

" You called me?" She questioned as she took her mobile to found it in silent and she looked up at Ashwin with apologetic eyes. "I'm sorry...It was in silent. I didn't notice.I didn't mean to worry you."

Ashwin's expression softened, " It's okay ma." He said and touched her forehead his touch was gentle, his fingers brushing against Sivaangi's forehead. "You're burning up," he said, concern etched on his face.

"Why didn't you tell me you were feeling this bad? I would have come earlier."

Sivaangi's eyes drooped, her lashes fluttering closed. "I didn't want to bother you...I thought it was just a cold."

Ashwin's expression turned stern, but his voice was soft. "You're never a bother, Sivaangi. Never. " He said

Sivaangi's eyes narrowed slightly at his clothes again, " Did you left your meeting halfway?"

Ashwin hesitated for a moment before responding. "Hmmmm, no.. the meeting ended earl----ier than expected. I didn't want to waste any more time, so I came straight here to check on you."

Sivaangi raised an eyebrow. "Really? That was a pretty short meeting, wasn't it?"

Ashwin shrugged, trying to downplay the significance of the meeting. "It was just a routine discussion. Nothing major came out of it."

Sivaangi's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "And you didn't stay to discuss anything further? You just left and came here?"

" Yes. I don't care about the meeting morethan you." He stated.

Sivaangi teased, "You're speaking like you're the boss of the company, not just an employee!"

Ashwin's heart skipped a beat, but he tried to play it cool. "Hey, someone's got to keep the boss in check, right?"

But Sivaangi's playful jab had struck a nerve. Ashwin's mind racing with thoughts of the sinister messages and the danger Sivaangi might be in.

Sivaangi continued, "Seriously, you are something else. It's surprising to see you leave a meeting just because i didn't attend a call."

Ashwin's expression turned serious, and he took Sivaangi's hand in his. " I will. Nothing is more important to me than you, Sivaangi. If you had picked up my calls, I wouldn't have came here, so it's your mistake."

Sivaangi's eyes sparkled with amusement, but Ashwin's intense gaze made her heart flutter. "Okay, okay, I get it. You win. You're the most caring employee of the year."

Ashwin smiled, relief washing over him. "Just take care of yourself, okay? That's all I ask."

Sivaangi smiled and nodded, but before she could respond, she let out a massive sneeze. Ashwin's expression turned stern, and he glared at her.

"See? I told you so! You're paying for drenching yourself in the rain yesterday. I should have stopped you!"

Sivaangi turned her face away, her expression grumpy, but a hint of a smile played on her lips. "Shut up, I'm fine. Just a little cold."
