The next morning, Ashwin woke up feeling refreshed, the events of the previous day still etched in his mind. He lay in bed for a moment, thinking about Sivaangi, wondering what the day might bring.
As he got out of bed, Ashwin threw off the covers and got out of bed, and went out and saw the room where others sleeping were open.
He quickly scanned the room, hoping to find Sivaangi, but she was nowhere to be seen. He rushed to the door and flung it open, he was met with an eerie silence.
The bed, where he had hoped to find Sivaangi, was occupied by Monisha, who was fast asleep. He looked around searching for any sign of Sivaangi.
He was taken aback, wondering where Sivaangi might be. He quietly closed the door, not wanting to disturb Monisha's sleep. He searched the rest of the house, but there was no sign of Sivaangi also akash. He checked the living room, the kitchen, even the bathroom, but she was nowhere to be found.
Ashwin's mind began to wander, wondering if she had gone out for a walk or if something was wrong. He felt a pang of concern, hoping everything was okay.
Ashwin walked back to his room, feeling a mix of confusion and fear. He pulled out his phone and dialed Sivaangi's number, but it went straight to voicemail again. He sighed, feeling frustrated and worried.
As he looked around his room, his eyes caught sight of a piece of paper on his mirror table. He hadn't noticed it before, and curiosity got the better of him. He walked over to the table and picked up the paper.
As he unfolded it, he realized it was a letter, written in Sivaangi's familiar handwriting. His heart skipped a beat as he began to read:
Ashwin,
As I wrote this letter, my heart is filled with a mix of emotions - sadness, guilt, and a hint of relief. I'm finally ready to tell the truth that I've been trying to avoid for so long. I'm not the right person for you, Ashwin.
You've always been the sunshine in my life, making me feel happy and alive. Your love and care have been a constant source of comfort, and I'll always cherish the memories we've made together. But, despite your best efforts, I've always managed to hurt you. My words, my actions, my silences - they've all caused you pain, and for that, I'm truly sorry.
The past few days were worst of my life. I never thought that our lives could change like this.
I've come to realize that I'm not capable of loving you the way you deserve. I'm too flawed, too imperfect. I've always been selfish, putting my own emotions and needs above yours. And, in doing so, I've hurt you time and time again.
You deserve someone who will love you without condition, someone who will make you feel happy and cherished every day. Someone who will believe you in hard days and not hurt you like me with words.
And who will be your best friend. Someone like--- Hmm.. Shreya, who has always been there for you, supporting and caring for you.
Eventhough, She is meeting you after 8 long years. But I can just see the love and trust she has for you. She understands you more than me. She's a kind of person who will bring out the best in you, who will make you feel seen and heard.
I know this might sound strange, but I think Shreya would be perfect for you. She's kind, loving, beautiful and understanding. She'll love you for who you are, without trying to change you. And, most importantly, she'll never hurt you the way I have.
I remember the way you used to look at me, with so much love and adoration in your eyes. But, over time, that look has faded, replaced by a mixture of sadness and disappointment. I know I'm the reason for that, and it breaks my heart.
