Ashwin's expression changed in an instant, his eyes widening in shock as he listened to the voice on the other end of the call. Sivaangi's heart skipped a beat as she saw the color drain from his face.

"What happened?" Ashwin asked, his voice trembling.

Sivaangi's curiosity turned to concern as she saw Ashwin's grip on the phone tighten.

"When did it happen?" Ashwin's voice cracked, his eyes welling up with tears.

Sivaangi's mind raced with worst-case scenarios as she saw Ashwin's world crumble around him.

"Maaa..." Ashwin whispered, his voice barely audible.

His dad voice was laced with tears. "She's in critical condition. You need to come home, now."

Ashwin's voice was shaking as he tried to compose himself. "Appa, I'll be there in a few hours. Take care of her, please. I'll talk to you in person."

"Ashwin, please hurry. The doctors are trying their best, but...but it's not looking good."

Ashwin's heart sank, but he knew he had to be strong. "Appa, I'll be there soon. Try to stay calm. I'll talk to you soon."

Sivaangi could see the pain and desperation in Ashwin's eyes as he ended the call.

Ashwin's arms wrapped around Sivaangi, pulling her into a tight hug. His body shook as he let out tears, his voice muffled against her shoulder.

"Ma...got in an accident," he whispered, his voice cracking. "She's in critical condition."

Sivaangi's heart broke as she held him close, her own tears welling up.

"I'm so sorry, Ashwin," she whispered, her voice trembling. "We'll get through this together."

Ashwin's grip on her tightened, his tears soaking into her shirt. "I need to see her," he whispered. "I need to see."

Sivaangi's arms held him close, her heart aching for the pain he was going through. "We'll get there, Ashwin. We'll get there as soon as possible."

Ashwin's tears slowly subsided, his body still shaking with sobs. He pulled back, his eyes red and puffy, but his gaze locked on Sivaangi's.

She knew she had to be strong for him, to support him through this difficult time.

"Ashwin, we need to go," Sivaangi said, her voice firm. "We'll get to the hospital as soon as possible."

Ashwin's eyes locked on Sivaangi's, his gaze filled with determination. "I'm going alone," he said, his voice firm.

Sivaangi's expression changed, her eyes widening in surprise. "No, Ashwin, I'm coming with you," she said, her voice firm.

Ashwin shook his head, his jaw set. "No, you come with Pugazh and Dharshan. I need to reach a little sooner, so I'm taking a flight."

Sivaangi's face fell, but she knew she had to understand. "Okay, but be careful," she said, her voice trembling.

Ashwin nodded, his eyes still locked on hers. "I will. I'll call you as soon as I reach the hospital."

Sivaangi nodded, "Be strong. We'll get through this together."

Ashwin's expression softened, he hugged her atlast. "I'll try," he whispered. "I'll try to be strong."

With that, he turned and walked away.

He rushed out of the room, his heart racing with every step. He quickly informed Pugazh and dharshan about his mom's accident and that he was heading to the hospital.
