Ashwin's voice was calm and reassuring as he spoke into the phone. "Everything is fine, dad. He backed off from our way. I worked on it from that evening. Don't worry, I will take care of him."

His dad's voice on the other end was laced with concern, but unaware of the true nature of the threat. "Ashwin, be careful. Who is he? What's going on? I saw you both grabbing eachother's neck. If I did not enter---"

Ashwin stopped him and hesitated, unsure how much to reveal. He didn't want to worry his dad, but he also didn't want to lie to him. "It's just a business rival, dad. Trying to cause some trouble. But I've got everything under control."

His dad's voice was skeptical, but he didn't press the issue. "Okay, Ashwin. Just be careful. We can't afford any more problems."

Ashwin nodded, even though his dad couldn't see him. "I will, dad. I'll take care of everything. Don't worry."

With that, they hung up, the phone call ending with an unspoken understanding. Ashwin knew his dad was worried, but he also knew he had to keep the truth to him.

With lot of things running inside his mind. He dialed a person's number whom he trusted the most.

Ashwin's fingers moved swiftly as he dialed Pugazh's number.

"Vikram is back," Ashwin said, his voice low and firm, as soon as Pugazh answered.

Pugazh's responded on other side. As they spoke, Ashwin's anger simmered just below the surface. "He's threatening me using Sivaangi's name. He exactly knows how to rail me even now.

Pugazh's tone turned serious. "We'll handle it, Ashwin. Don't worry."

But Ashwin's emotions boiled over. "He's speaking like I killed Shreya! Pugazh. How could he? He knew how I was with her, until her death. He's crossing a line and making the scene ugly."

Pugazh's voice was soothing, trying to calm Ashwin down. "Ashwin, don't let him get to you. We'll take care of it. Just stay calm."

But Ashwin's anger had reached a boiling point. He couldn't believe Vikram would stoop so low as to use Shreya's name against him.

The pain and guilt of his past mistakes came flooding back, and Ashwin's yell echoed through the room. "He has no right! No right at all!"

Ashwin was still yelling over the phone, his anger boiling over, when his doorbell rang. He excused himself from Pugazh and hung up the phone, still fuming.

He flung open the door, still fuming from his conversation with Pugazh, and was taken aback by the sight of Sivaangi standing there, drenched in rain. Her hair was plastered to her face, and her clothes clung to her body, but it was her red face and tear-filled eyes that caught his attention.

"Sivaangi..." Ashwin started, trying to call out to her, but she wasn't having it.

She showed her palm in front of his face, her eyes blazing with anger and hurt. "Don't even try to talk to me, Ashwin," she said, her voice shaking.

Ashwin was taken aback by her reaction. He had expected anger, but not this level of hurt. "Sweetheart, what's wrong?" he asked, trying to reach out to her.

But she just shook her head, her eyes welling up with tears. " Don't call me that. You ignored me for two days, Ashwin. You didn't even bother to answer my calls or messages. Do I mean that little to you?"

Ashwin felt a pang of guilt, realizing too late that he had been so caught up in his own problems that he had neglected Sivaangi's feelings. He tried to reach out to her again, but she turned away, her shoulders shaking with sobs.
