The next day :

Sivaangi gazed out the kitchen window, her mind a whirlwind of thoughts. Where was Ashwin? He had promised to meet her at 8 pm, but it was now 9 pm.

The rain was pouring down outside, drumming a relentless beat against the roof. Her little brother, akash sat at a table, his eyes fixed on his books, oblivious to the commotion outside. Monisha helping him to write his homeworks.

Sivaangi was in the kitchen arranging the washed vessels.
She were distant, her mind elsewhere.

As the minutes ticked by, Sivaangi's anxiety grew. She tried to distract herself by wiping down the counters, but her eyes kept drifting to the clock.

"Nee en avara pathi nenachitu irukaa , he is just a regular customer that's it". She composed herself , just then the bell above the cafe door rang, signaling someone is here. Monisha got up to inform the person to come tomorrow , but instead, she let out a squeal of surprise when she saw Ashwin standing all drenched.

Monisha ushered a drenched Ashwin in , his hair plastered to his head, his clothes clinging to his body. "Kitchen!" Monisha called out, answering Ashwin's unspoken question who smiled sheepishly at her.

Monisha : Enakum theriyum next neenga adhadhan keppinganu. So go ahead , I think she expecting you from the evening. She said making him feel like a happy child.

Ashwin heart raced as he strode into the kitchen, his eyes locked on her back. She was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn't even notice him approaching. Suddenly, he yelled "Boo!" and Sivaangi let out a startled yelp, dropping the vessel she was holding. It shattered on the floor, the sound echoing through the kitchen.

Ashwin burst out laughing. "Sorry, sorry! I couldn't resist!" he said, his eyes sparkling with mischief. Sivaangi's face flushed with embarrassment, but a small smile played on her lips.

"You scared me to death!" she exclaimed, her heart still racing. She started bet his arms Ashwin held her hand locked it in a hold.

He looked into her eyes that's when something clicked,

"Were you expecting me from this evening?" he asked, his voice low and gentle still holding her hand.

Sivaangi's smile faltered, and she looked away moving away from his hold, her eyes fixed on the broken vessel on the floor. "Why would I expect you?" she replied, her voice neutral, but her heart racing.

Ashwin's eyes narrowed slightly when she took a step back, as if he sensed her hesitation. "I told you I'd meet you at 8 pm and sing a song for you," he said, his tone soft.

Sivaangi shrugged, her eyes still avoiding his. "I didn't remember," she lied, her heart pounding in her chest.

Ashwin took a step closer, his eyes locked on hers. "Sivaangi, I'm sorry I'm late. I got held up with some things. I promise I make it up to you any other day." he said, his voice sincere.

Her name felt different from his lips, she shrugged the thoughts away and looked somewhere to gather her thoughts.

We have to remember that , still sivaaangi don't know about his personal status or that he is a billionaire or who is his father or how rich family they are ? She knows nothing. She is still unaware about his wealth and family status.

Sivaangi's gaze finally met his, her eyes searching for any sign of insincerity. But all she saw was genuine regret and a hint of something else... something that looked like concern. Her felt heavy at the look he gave her.

Sivaangi's looked at his drenched form, her expression softening. Without a word, she turned and disappeared into a small room, returning with a towel. As She approached him, her eyes locked on his, and held out the towel.
