Chapter 3

Violet's POV

I left Clem's room and shut the door, my lips still tingling from her kiss. No matter how many times it happens she always leaves a lasting impression. I felt my face get hot and immediately stopped thinking about it as Louis walked up.

"Thinking about a certain someone, Vi?"

He asked as he wiggled his eyebrows.

"Shut it Lou."

I shot him a glare as he chuckled and started walking down the hall. I made sure I had my cleaver on me then I followed him. When I got outside the dorms I saw him waiting at the gate for me. I made my way through the courtyard as he smiled at me, which caused me to roll my eyes.

"You ready to go?"

I nodded,

"Did you tell Aasim we are leaving?"

He then nodded and then he opened the gate. I looked at the dorms once more before heading out and shutting the metal bars behind me.

"Vi don't worry, Clem will be fine. Hell, she stayed conscious through that entire procedure."

He shivered after he finished which made me laugh.

"I know she will, she's a badass. I just don't like being away from her."

Louis immediately took his chance to make fun of me,

"Awwwww Violet. How sweet."

I punched his arm as he pouted. As we were making our way to the traps we heard yelling and hid in the bushes while moving towards it. We saw two soldiers yelling over someone who was knocked out, I looked down and saw someone who I never expected to see again. It was Lily. Louis moved his hand over his mouth as he saw her too. He looked at me with panicked eyes as I listened to the soldier's conversation. "We have to take Lily back to the Delta now. We can come back for that bitch and her minions later."

The other soldier nodded and picked up an unconscious and bloody Lily. It made me happy seeing her hurt like that but the fact that she was still alive terrified me. I had to tell Clem and I knew she wouldn't be happy to hear this. Right now is the best time though because she is too weak to go after Lily by herself so this way she'll wait and make a plan with us. I looked at Louis and pointed to the school. He nodded and we crept back to the gate where Willy let us in. "Everyone get to the tables now. I'll be back. We need to talk."

Everyone nodded as I left to go get Clem. I walked up to her door and knocked.

"Come in."

I opened her door and she flashed a smile, "Oh hey babe."

I sat down next to her and kissed her on the cheek.

"Clem, we need to go to the courtyard. We have to talk."

"I thought you said I wasn't allowed to leave,"

She smirked.

"This is the only exception you ass,"

I said smiling. She nodded and slowly stood up sorta wincing.

"Does it still hurt?"

"A little but not as bad,"

She said smiling. I smiled back and helped her walk to the yard. I sat her down next to Louis and then I stood up to give everyone the bad news.

"Alright everyone. As you know me and Louis went out to hunt but came back quickly."

There were nods from the group.

"Well that's because we ran into two soldiers. Don't worry they didn't see us, but we saw them. Below them was a bloody and injured Lily. The thing is, she wasn't dead. Lily is alive and they're taking her back to the Delta as we speak."

Clem slammed the table with anger in her eyes,

"What?!"

I couldn't bear to look at her just yet so I continued,

"The soldiers said they want to come back for us. Even if they don't kill anyone...they want Clem dead."
