Chapter 8

Clementine's POV

After realizing we need a plan and a good one, I knew I needed to test the kids strengths and weaknesses because we need everyone on their best skill so that everyone can survive. We were all sitting around the table eating the stew that Omar had made while discussing plans.

"Okay I am going to create some different stations that have aspects of every skill that we're going to need for this raid. That way I can see who is best at what, then base a plan and positions off that."

Everyone nodded in approval.

"I'll need a lot of materials and help setting up so let's get to work."

All the kids nodded and began helping me build my stations.

"Okay we need combat over there, defense over there, weapon making there, stealth on that side, and a makeshift firing range over there."

I mapped out everything and where it would be placed in the courtyard and then we got to building the setup. It took days but once everything was set up I set up a system so that for four days everyone would get to practice at each station for an hour and then they would switch. After the four days I would grade everyone and the best two from each station would be placed there during the actual raid. The four days of practice started and it was boring being the only one not doing something except planning. Being on the road with multiple groups I already knew how I was going to take down the Delta. I sat at one of the tables mapping out a plan, word for word exactly how I was going to do it. I needed everyone at Ericson's help to take down that horrible place. I was going to get Javi and Kate out of there. I never liked Gabe much and I already know he's going to be Delta till he dies. No matter our past I will take out whoever I need to in order to take down Lily. "Clem!"

I looked up to see Aj running at me.

"I just got through the stealth station without setting anything off!"

"Good job goofball! I'm proud all your experience is coming through."

He smiled and ran back to continue the stealth station with Tenn. After a long four days the training days were over and it was time for the final gradings. Everyone was gathered once again at the tables as I read off of a checklist I had made,

"Okay so the top two at weapon making were Willy and Omar, the best at stealth were Tenn and AJ, best at defense were Aasim and Ruby, and finally Louis and Violet were the best at combat, everyone needs to know how to shoot so I didn't grade on that."

I saw Vi and Lou give each other high fives and I couldn't help but smile.

"Now that we know where everyone is best we need to hone in on those skills and make sure we are ready for this. The second we are is when we'll strike."
