Chapter 9

Clementine's POV

It was a long week but the plan was ready and so was everyone else. Willy and Omar had made plenty of weapons for everyone to have at least two. I gathered everyone around to explain the jist plan and make sure it was okay.

"I'll explain the rest in more detail tomorrow."

"Sounds great Clem."

"Okay. Then we act tomorrow. Be ready to leave early in the morning. We have a lot of ground to cover."

Everyone got up and headed to their rooms. As Violet was heading to hers I grabbed her wrist,

"Woah, where do you think you're going. We are about to go into a death trap. You're spending the night with me."

I saw her face glow red and she nodded excitedly. We got to my room and started to take off our shoes. Violet looked up at me and I couldn't help but kiss her. She leaned in and dragged me over to my bed. Knowing that we may die tomorrow had our emotions running wild. The only reason our kiss broke was so we could take off our shirts and continue. The rest of the night continued as expected and ended with us passing out in each other's arms. I woke up the next morning realizing today was the day that I would either succeed in saving us once again or die trying. I woke Violet up and we got ready then headed down to the courtyard. I opened the doors of the dorm building and saw everyone gathered around talking.

"Clem!"

"Hey Lou."

"You ready for today?"

"As ready as I can be. Here's the plan."

I laid out the exact plan and what everyone would be in charge of once we got there. Everyone was ready to move in but as we were gathering our supplies I heard a noise coming from the woods.

"Guys. Hide."

Everyone scattered into different spots. Everyone but myself.

"CLEMENTINE!"

I knew that voice.

"Gabe."

I murmured under my breath. I kept watch of the gate until I saw his face appear.

"What happened to the threat of you finding us?"

He raised his eyebrow and smirked at me.

"Wow you're even hotter now. How long has it been now?"

He smirked while looking me up and down. I wanted to gag.

"You're still just as foul as you used to be huh Gabe? Still want me just as bad?"

"Oh you know it. Come live with me at the Delta. I'll convince them to let you live so I can bang your brains out! Finally get that kiss I could never convince you to give me!"

"I'll puke right now."

"You know you want it."

"What the fuck do you want Gabe?"

"I heard there was a school here? I only see you though? You finally let that little shit get killed?"

"NEVER talk about AJ! EVER!"

Gabe smiled a sinister grin and stopped walking closer. He let out a whistle that sounded like he was relieved. He put his finger in the air and waved it in a circle. A shot rang out and I felt what seemed like a punch hit my shoulder.

"Fuck!"

I hit the ground because of the impact. While standing up I saw Louis and Violet start to get up. I shook my head at them to get them to stay put. I mouthed the words,
