Louis's POV
I hated seeing Vi so sad. Ever since Clem went limp after that whole exchange from Gabe she's been silent and upset ever since. I haven't seen her this upset since Minnie died, and even now she seems more upset and Clem is still alive. I knew I needed to do something to make her feel better or to take her mind off things but I just didn't know what to do.
"I have an idea. Let's play a game!"
"Lou now isn't the best time to be playing games ya know?"
"We are all obviously upset and there's no way to cheer anyone up until Clem is recovered, so the best I can do is take your guys' minds off of the situation. It's dumb but it'll help, I hope."
"Louis you're the sweetest idiot I know."
"Perfect! Let's play!"
"What game?"
"Everyone down for truth or dare?"
"We play that with Clem..."
"Okay, how about war highest card gets to ask the lowest card a question?"
"Sounds good. Let's play."
The group all arranged themselves in a circle as I passed out the cards to the people playing.
"Alright! Let's go!"
We all put our cards face down. I had the highest and Violet had the lowest.
"Shit."
"Yeah!"
"Hit me with your worst I guess."
"Who's your favorite person out of us in this circle?"
"Oh that was an easier question than what I thought was coming. I guess you are Louis."
"WOW ACTUALLY?!"
"Yeah? You're like my brother. So even though you piss me off I still love you."
"I could cry."
"Shut it."
"Next round!"
Aasim picked the lowest and Omar chose the highest.
"Uh oh."
"Haha! I have a good one. What's your biggest fantasy to fulfill with Ruby?"
"Oh. Uh."
Aasim went bright red while everyone was laughing.
"Come on, we're all waiting!"
"Shut it Louis. Uh I..I honestly don't know. I don't think like that."
"Oh that makes sense. Especially coming from you Aasim."
"Sorry."
"No no don't be!"
"Next round!"
I lost while Violet won.
"Finally!"
"Oh god."
"So Louis. Have eyes for anyone?"
"Eh I don't know."
"Louis."
"That walker guy Clem is friends with is kinda cute...but nothing will ever happen."
"AWWWW LOU!"
"Shhhhhh!!"
"I love this."
"Well I'm gonna go check on Clem then go to bed thanks for the game Louis!"
"Of course Ruby thanks for playing!"
"I'll come with you Ruby."
"Alrighty shug."
I watched as Violet and Ruby left the circle to head back towards the dorm and felt an intense wave of sadness.
"Yeah let's just call it for tonight guys I'm tired."
"Sure thing Lou."
"See you guys tomorrow!"
I walked away from the group towards the dorms because I needed to be alone for a while after that.
