Nate stood in the doorway of your room "Y/n I'm having friends over".
Your mind instantly began to wander and you couldn't help but ask "who?".
He thought for a second before replying "just Matt and maybe Chris, don't be playing your music too loud while they're here" you nodded and he disappeared into the hallway.
You tried to resist the feeling of excitement knowing that Matt was coming over. You'd see him today.

He was always everywhere, almost like he was taunting you, almost as if he knew how you felt and wanted to make every second that you had to see him unbearable as you were overwhelmed with emotions just by the mention of his name, just by seeing him walk down the halls in school, just by seeing him act like a weirdo with his friends.

You quickly snapped out of your thoughts and looked down at yourself, realising you were in your pyjamas.
With a groan you studied the options in your head; you didn't want to be in your pyjamas, you didn't want to be too dressed up, you didn't want to be too casual, you had to find something perfect.

After 20 minutes of throwing every item of clothing that you own around your room, you finally settled on a basic outfit, that would be fine.
As if on cue the doorbell rung, "y/n?" Nate called out to you, "get the door please I'm in the bathroom".
Suddenly your heart began to race faster, "uh... okay" you said as you made your way downstairs.

You stopped at the front door and let out a nervous exhale before opening the door to see Matt.
After stepping aside to let him in you spoke, "uh hi... sorry Nate's just in the bathroom he wanted me to get the door"
Matt looked down at you and gave you a friendly smile and you felt your stomach churn with butterflies. No. Not again.
"It's fine, don't worry"
You shyly smile back and turn to the stairs "I'll just take you up to his room to wait?" You offer and he nods, following you up the stairs to Nate's room.

After getting there he turns to you "uh... thanks" you notice the blush on his cheeks, why was he red? You're the one that just had to talk to your crush and lead him through your house. All he had to do was follow his friend's sister to a room?
You were about to reply when Nate entered "Hey man" he approached Matt and you took that as your cue to leave.

As you sat in your bedroom, you kept on thinking back to earlier, why was he blushing? Was it something you said? Did? What happened? What if he liked you back? But he couldn't... right? Like you already said, you're just his friend's little sister why would he-
There's a knock on your bedroom door.
"Uh.. come in" you say, looking over at it.

Nate and Matt enter, Nate's wearing his stupid smug look and Matt is bright red, standing awkwardly at your door as Nate sits down next to you,
"what's up?" You say looking at them both.
"Well..." Nate's smile widens as he glances at Matt "my friend here has a little crush on you"
As soon as his words hit you, you go bright red but you quickly laugh it off "yeah whatever sure he does. Get out."

Nate's expression turns serious "I'm being for real". You look over at Matt who was staring at his shoes, "is that true?" You ask him quietly.
He looks up at you and shakes his head quickly but Nate just laughs "come on Matt don't lie."
With a groan, Matt makes his way over to you, standing in front of you "okay... it's true. I'm really sorry I know it must seem creepy cos I'm your brother's older friend but I-"

You roll your eyes and cut him off by pulling him down so he's level with you "I like you too".
For a second you just smile at each other before he cups your cheek and Nate scurries out of the room, "you really do?" He asks and you nod, Matt lets out a relieved sigh before kissing your lips gently.

When he pulls away, he rests his forehead against yours as you look at him with a dazed expression, "you don't know how long I've been waiting for that" you chuckle.
