Pete breathed, relieved when he saw his Bugatti missing with Kao, He started calling. But Kao's phone was not reachable, after trying for a few minutes Pete decided to calm down and think. He first went back to grandma and informed... "Grand Ma, Kao is not home, he went out for a drive, Why don't you start with your lunch first?"

"Drive? In the village? He has never done that before, I doubt if he even knows where this village ends and the next one starts" His grandma sounded worried

"Maybe that is why he went out Grand Ma, To get to know the surroundings, Don't worry, I just talked to him, He will be back soon" Pete assured her with lies... "Here, Let me get you some rice" Pete sat beside her prompting her to eat so she could take her medicines on time. 

Just then Pete's phone rang and the screen flashed red hearts, Pete tried not to be obvious and walked out of the room politely to take the call... "Kao!" he exclaimed answering the phone

"Pete, Pete, I am so sorry, I..." Kao was stuttering and panicking

Pete frowned... "Kao, Calm down, and tell me, what's wrong? And where are you?"

"Pete, Pete" Kao sniffled... "Your car. I am very sorry, I didn't know it rained last night, It's, It's stuck in a pit and it's all scratched up. But, but I will get it fixed, I will make sure it will be as good as new again"

Pete sighed... "That's it? Nothing happened to you, right? Are you okay? were you able to get out of the car safely?"

"Yes, I am fine, But the car, It won't move" Kao kept crying 

"That's okay Kao, You don't have to worry about that, Just tell me where you are so I can come, pick you up, Insurance company will take care of the car"

"Haan?" Kao was not grasping things

"I asked you, Where are you?" Pete repeated

"Oh, Umm, Just give me the number to the Insurance company, I will call and inform them myself" Kao persisted

"Okay, I am sending you the number, But let me come, Please tell me where you are, How far away are you?" 

"No, It's okay, I will find my way home, just send me the number" With that Kao cut the call without letting Pete insist or answer.

Pete called Kao back but was only sent to voice mail, that weird behavior of Kao made Pete anxious, making him imagine the worst, He was not sure if Kao was safe anymore. 

He kept calling Kao simultaneously texting a friend to help locate Kao's phone. But not even 10 minutes have passed and his Bugatti screeched in front of him, as new as it was that morning. Confusion took over Pete and then he relaxed when he saw Kao getting out of the driver's seat just as he was. 

"Kao!" Pete sounded angry as he checked out Kao from head to toe.

Kao stood there avoiding Pete's eyes. 

After a few minutes, Pete sighed.

Kao dropped his head... "I am sorry"

"did someone bully you?" 

Kao shook his head... "No!"

Pete nodded his head... "Okay then, It's Okay as long as you are okay, Are you okay?"

Kao nodded. 

"Good, Grand Ma has been waiting for us, Let's go have lunch while it's still hot"

Kao silently followed Pete to the dining room. 

Kao's grandma playfully pinched his cheek when she saw him... "You have become mischievous, Why did you go on a drive without telling us, that too at lunchtime?"
