The Smile

The light felt soo strong that i had to pull the shades down to be able to open my eyes. I was just about to doze off doing my accounting assignment for the 20th time now when bright light from Sun slapped me back awake. It was cloudy and dark just a few minutes ago, why is Sun shinning soo bright all of a sudden. I thought irritatingly walking back to my study table when i heard a knock. It was too feeble that i thought i imagined it. but i heard it again and was kind of scared. No one generally comes for me.

Nevertheless I went and opened the door and saw a man, almost at the same height as me and dressed in all black. All built and fit, his muscles making me jealous through the evident colour. His face is the one that you don't want to ever take your eyes off and he is smiling at me. The smile that i could only dream of wearing, soo elegent, naive and true.

"Hello New" He greeted "God... You look like shit, You seriously need to take a shower" he said walking into my home like it's his own.

"Excuse Me!" I glared at him with a killer look.

"Oo Sorry... Where are my manners, I am Tawan, You can call me Tay" He extended his hand to me.

I ignored it as i cleared my throat "Mr.who ever you are, If this is some kind of a reality show or something, i am seriously not interested"

He laughed at that. His laugh echoing all over my apartment. i stood there at my door, hands on my hips waiting for him to respond. "You humans and your imaginations, i say" i heard him say between the laughs.

"What do you mean you humans, what are you, a Vampire?" I asked sarcastically.

" Oo i wish, atleast they are rich and fast" He said sloping himself on my couch.

"Hey crazy mister, whatever this is, I don't have time for it, just get out, i have a lot of work" i said highly irritated now. May be he is a crazy guy who just happened to know my name.

"Calm down New, seriously it's frustrating to see your brows forrowed like that all the time" I am both growing annoyed and curious.

" You are a stalker now?" I asked confused, he looks too cool to be a stalker though.

He chuckled... "Okay, don't freak out, but i am personally appointed by Sun himself to be your guardian angle"

"You? My guardian angle? Have you looked at yourself?" I couldn't control my laugh. The guy is soo bad at lieing.

"Hey Hin, what is wrong with me?" He asked looking down at himself. I froze. Hin?, Only my best friend calls me that, who is now working abroad.

"And how many times do you do the same mistake man, i couldn't stay put seeing you doing the same thing and get all depressed over it again and again, i mean how difficult is it to realise that you are adding 82 and 49 instead of multiplying them?" He asked his head balanced on his arm facing me.

It took me a couple of minutes to determine what he is talking about, he is talking about the sum i was doing. I immediately ran and checked, true to my fear, he was right, i re-did the sum again and got the right answer this time. Okay, i guess now i have no choice but to believe he is indeed what he says he is.

I came out of my room to see him scooting around my kitchen.

"Tae..." i blurted. He looked at me questioningly.

"So you really are..." I couldn't continue my sentence.

He smiled and nodded. And that made me pout.

I sat right there on my dining table watching him... For some reason my eyes refused to look at anything else... "Why are you soo lazy?" I asked still pouting.
