Dipper was in his Grunkle's chair, watching Ghost Harrassers and drinking some of that nasty Pitt Cola that they kept buying. "Why the heck does anyone like this?!?" Dipper asked aloud, setting the off brand soda to the side. It has only been two days since his date with Pacifica and Dipper was in constant debate of whether or not to text her. In truth he missed her but he didn't want to come off as love-sick boyfriend who had to call every other minute(I think that's how it works, I've never been on a date or had a girlfriend).
Dipper sighed, he had figured life would be easier now that he and Pacifica were together but now it seems much harder. He had never...ever...EVER...been on a date with a girl much less had a girlfriend(wow is there an echo?). He didn't know the first thing about what she would like as a gift, or where she would like to go on a second date, or even if they could keep avoiding her parents!
Dipper put his head in his hands, going crazy with the brain overload. Soon enough his Grunkle Stan came in and, upon seeing Dipper, wanted to leave the room immediately before his better judgement got a hold of him. Of course, that didn't work. Stan Pines then walked over to his great nephew. "What's eatin' ya kid?" Stan asked in a sort of disinterested yet concerned manner.
"Grunkle Stan, once you've got the girl...how do you manage to keep her?" Dipper asked, not even acknowledging his Grunkle's awkwardness. "Uhhhhh," Stan said awkwardly, "Look Dipper, I'm...I always manage to get the girl but because of something stupid I do or something I am I can never actually keep em'...it never really worked out after Marigold." He seemed to mumble the last line so Dipper couldn't hear him. "Excuse me?" Dipper asked, trying to understand what was it he said.
"Never mind, just don't worry too much on the future and try to live in the moment, because when you start to worry that's when you start making mistakes. I'm not saying just don't give a...darn...no not at all, just don't make a convoluted plan that will limit the fun. Keep it spontaneous and there will never be a dull moment(all of you thinking about this advice with a dirty mind, get out!)."
Dipper sat back in the chair, still not sure why not making a plan was the best way to go about dating a girl. "Sounds like something you'd hear on a bad fanfiction." Dipper noted, making his Grunkle laugh. "Yeah I guess so, Soos has me reading his weird fanfictions on some ridiculous site called Wattpad(cue Illuminati, X-Files, and Twilight Zone theme songs all at once; and to all you theorists out there...you know what to do), really freaks me out sometimes." Stan said, shivering slightly.
"So, who exactly is the girl crazy enough to agree to go out with you?" Stan asked jokingly, taking a sip of Dipper's Pitt Cola. "Pacifica Northwest," Dipper said nonchalantly. Stan then went bug-eyed, spat out the drink, then looked at Dipper. "Wait, are you serious, don't lie to me just to impress me!" Stan warned, eyeing Dipper for any signs of untruth. "I swear, we went on a date two days ago, Wendy and Soos can vouch!" Dipper said defensively, no intention of lying to his Grunkle.
Stan looked over his great nephew, "There's no possible way, is there?", Stan thought, still looking very doubtful. While he knew that Dipper was a pretty bad lier, he had seen him outsmart supernatural beings before, and he had played chess with his brother and won...several times, and that was something that Stan knew was quite impossible for most people to do.
"I'm serious, you can believe me or not." Dipper said, putting as much confidence in his voice while also trying to not make it go squeaky. His Grunkle eyed him once more over, then broke out in a broad smile. "Ah heck, you couldn't lie to save your life. Pacifica huh, that would be a good cash flow if you managed to seal the deal in the future." Stan winked, making Dipper laugh. "Let's not jump ahead of ourselves, first I need to survive actually dating her. If her parents found out..." Dipper went on before Stan stopped him. "Wait wait wait, are you saying this...relationship...isn't approved by her parents?!? Do you know what could happen if the most powerful man in Gravity Falls knew if you of all people were dating his daughter behind his back, he could have us removed from this town, not so much that I would mind." Stan rambled, trying to stress the danger.
